It is considered by many people a good thing for every child to master a musical instrument. I partially agree with this statement. This essay will discuss, the advantages of learning a musical instrument, and how learning it is a choice and not a duty.

In the first place, playing a musical instrument has been proven to have great effects on the persons mentality and academic skills. To put it simply, mastering a instrument makes the person smarter. For example, children who can play a instrument tend to have better grades than those who do not. Moreover, it helps relieve stress and can be a big advantage on college application. This can be seen in number of students who can play a musical instrument, and who have gotten accepted to top universities around the world. Hence, it is recomended for children to master at least one musical instrument.

In the meantime, whether learning it or not depends on the interests and hobbies of the child. In other words, it is not a mandatory thing that every single child must learn. For instance, some children like music, therefore, they pick up a music instrument. Meanwhile, the others like sports or martial arts, in this case, it would be wrong to make the child learn a instrument. As you can see, before deciding things for the children we must ask about their hobbies and interests.

To summarize, it is true that learning a musical instrument has numerous advantages, such as good grades and admissions into top universities. Neverthless, some children like doing other things like sports and martial arts. Due to this reason, people must not force every child to learn a instrument.

Hi, I'm trying to register but when it gets to how best would you describe yourself e.g. student..... I click my choice and press enter but it won't upload and keeps asking me to choose one. I look forward to your response.

Alaa Dallah

Big thank you to this website. Today I sat for my IELTS test after preparing with you. I wish whoever works on updating this website would read my comment. This site has the best design and it mimics the real IELTS test accurately yet I want to make few notes hoping that you would improve the website for future users:

1. There are many spelling and punctuation mistakes in the texts, they need to be revised.
2. There are some spelling mistakes in the KEY ANSWER!
3. Most keys do not have all the possible answers for example 2 m = 2 metres = two metres
4. Some keys do not follow the question instructions like (only three words) yet the key will contain numbers
5. Most Listening recordings are unrealistic, accents are forced and they sound funny. Nothing like real IELTS.
6. Listening tests now do not include an example at the beginning

I volunteer to help, if possible. Please send me an e-mail if you accepted my offer. Thank you.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME A FEED BACK AND A BAND SCORE REGARDING THIS.
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

The flow chart illustrates the consequence of deforestation. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features.

You should write at least 150 words.

Writing Task 1
Answer
In this flow chart, we can see information regarding the consequences of deforestation.

overall, when the heavy logging equipment runs over the soil it becomes hard and baked and leads to flooding when rainwater drops down the sky. Due to the cutting off the trees, the soils further lead to erosion followed by less biodiversity

The most noticeable change is that due to very little presence of plants there is very little moisture in the air which connects to less precipitation and increases the chances of drought and there is an absence of biodiversity surprisingly there is a high risk of burning down of plants deliberately or due to accident. this results in the wastage of woods and causes the species to migrate which further leads to a decrease in biodiversity.

Task 2
Question
You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

In many workplaces, online communication is getting more common than meeting face to face. Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?

You should write at least 250 words.

Answer
Communication is an important source in one's life. online communication plays a major role where physical appearance is not possible.

In my view, even tho online communication is rapidly rising there are several places where there is no access to the internet. I believe people in rural areas do not have the availability of the internet or they are finding it difficult to afford it due to a lack of financial opportunities.

There is no good communication if the accessibility of the internet is unstable for anyone of the communicators. to give a clear example if a seller is trying to communicate with the buyer and if the seller does not provide the required information to the buyer on time then the buyer might change his/her mind about buying the item.

In my opinion, online communication still has to develop in rural areas for better performances for equal opportunities.

Can you score this essay that I wrote?

Computer games are fairly common among young children since the time of their invention. It is arguable that they have positive impact on children even though they have many back draws. I will discuss both views in my essay.

First and foremost, computer games can be very useful if chosen correctly. Many parents introduce computer games early in a child’s life rather than toys due to its wide availability and how interactive they can be, keeping the child busy yet entertained. Another positive impact is it can be very educational especially that computer games can be chosen by the parents so that a child will easily learn alphabet or even math in an audio-visual sitting. For example, a trivia game will help a child retain some new information provided that it is age-appropriate.

In contrast, computer games can have their own downsides. To begin with, they can be very addictive once children are used to play them. Second of all, they can affect children’s behaviour and psychological well-being especially if they contain violent scenes or inappropriate language. This is where the parents should have the upper hand in which games their kids can play on a computer device. Finally, many children tend to spend a lot of time in front of computers playing games after school which can affect their vision as well as consume their time that they should dedicate to their studies. This in turn leads to poor school performance. An example on that is some children who stay awake late at night playing computer games and finding it difficult to get up for school.

To summarize, computer games can be controversial but they have both positive and negative impacts on children. (Opinion?) In my opinion, the positive impacts outweigh the negative impacts.

Education is not only about studying science or maths and getting the best grades in class but also about extra circular activities which help develop a persons mind. Not only do young minds develop pretty fast but also in an interesting way.

A very common thought among some educationalists is that every child should be taught how to play a musical instrument. As the saying goes, music gives a soul to ones mind. Playing a musical instrument has so many advantages that one can even ignore the disadvantages, which I believe would only be a few to exist. Even though some people would say that making a child learn a musical instrument can create an extra burden for them, distract them from studies or even waste their time, in my opinion it is the best way to calm the young minds and hep them grow. Learning how to play an instrument can open many doors for children. Firstly they'll have a talent and can even pursue it as a career. secondly, it can be used to release stress. Thridly, they'll have better concentration skills which will help them in the long run. Furthermore, like the elderly say, they'll be able to connect better to themselves and understand different ways of life.

All of the above stated points would not only help a child during his/her initial years, but in the long run of life. I totally agree to the educationalists that recommend every child being taught the art of playing a musical instrument.

really? you mean listening will be as rapid as this test

As far as I have found out, these mock tests are relatively easy comparing with the real ielts. So don't worry, listening won't be that difficult

what are you trying to say? You are saying mock tests are easy and also listening would not be that difficult

PLEASE CHECK

Actually I thought these mock tests more diffilcult than the real test.
