The given graph depicts the trend in the various working sector in the USA between the years 1930 and 2010.

In general, most of the sectors including technical, industrial as well as sales and office showed a rising trend of employment. In contrast, farming, fishing and foresting sector have been diminished drastically over the years. Other services more or less remain the same in terms of employment.

In 1930, farming, fishing and foresting were the major sources of employment with nearly four-fifth of the overall employed population. However, with the emergence of urbanization and industrialization, more and more people shifted into other professions leaving these sectors almost empty within 80 years. Industrial, technical and sales and offices, on the other hand, kept rising over the years. In 1930, only one in ten people used to work in each of these sectors whereas in 2010 they collectively contribute to 80% of the employment. Despite showing promise for the first 10 years with an increment of around 3%, employment in other services again declined in the following 20 years and remained on the same level ever since until 2010, being accounted for around 10% of the overall employment.
