It does not only lead to the rain water that runs off, but to flooding also. What is more, top soil will not have as many roots to hold in and it is possible that it can erode. The consequences are huge because not only the vegetation is degraded but people will experience less biodiversity. Similar outcomes are possible due to the increased risk of burning which leads to the waste wood being destroyed. If such chemical reaction occur many micro-organisms will be able to feed on waste lost. One of the most known effect of deforestation is also very alarming. When plants return less moisture to air, people can see the difference in the number of rains and the increase amount of droughts in some areas all over the world.
