The first pie chart shows the percentage of housing owned and rented in the UK in 2007 and second pie chart shows the same for the year 1991.
There has been a drastic increase in number of houses in UK from 22 million homes in 1991 to 27 million homes in 2007. In the pie charts, the mode of procurement of homes is categorised into four types, they are home ownership, social renting, private renting and social housing.
Home ownership accounted for major share of the pie in both years and social housing got the least share in both years. There was a considerable increase in home ownership from 1991 to 2007 and the percentage of homes under social renting and social housing were halved in 2007 from 1991 figures. However, the percentage of people living under private renting remained same in both years.
Overall, more people have moved to owning a house than living under social renting and social housing which indicates that economic status of people living in UK has improved over the years.

It is true that in some countries people spend long hours at work and it happens for several reasons including development of economy, market competition, maximisation of individual wealth, etc. I feel that there are both positive and negative ways of looking at this. However, the negatives outweigh the positives.
People work for long hours in order to achieve great things in life. Long hours of work has helped people to become billionaires. People like Jeff bezos, Jack ma, Elon Musk and Gary Vee have spent most of their waking hours working. In fact, there was a time when Elon Musk used to sleep for just one hour a day and that hard work has paid off. He is one of the most richest people on Earth. It is fine for people living in developed countries to work less, but people in developing countries like India, China and Brazil, work for longer hours in order to survive. The companies in these economies want to work longer to dominate the market and to have an edge over their competitors because of the universal rule, who works more, achieves more.
However, it is unfair that people have to work this hard and long. Why do we live? People these days are born to work until they die. Is this how the system is supposed to be? I don't think so. People must be able to spend time with their family and friends which is becoming uncommon these days. Even entrepreneurs like Elon Musk have said that people should not work this hard. It is not true that people who work less don't succeed. Take examples of countries like Norway, Denmark and Netherlands where people work for lesser hours and still enjoy life as good as people who work for longer hours in countries like India and China.
In conclusion, I would like to say that people should not keep working for major time of their lives. They must spend time with their loved ones more than they spend time at office. In fact, recent studies have shown that people who work for several hours together are less productive.

In today's society everything needs to be done as fast as possible with good quality. Many people choose to work long hours because of a few reasons. It can be because of supporting their family's needs, getting higher position in the company they work for or the need of being busy all the time. Reasons for that can be differentWe for everybody. There are good and bad sides of that and some of them will be shown in this paper.
What we know is that with hard work and many hours in the office or our work place we can earn better position with higher payment. With that comes more responsibilities but more benefits as well. We are able to afford more trips, own a home, provide better life for our children and live a life with less worries. It can motivate us and to give us passion about our work. Depending on the job we do it can make us feel good about ourselves and to help the people around us. For example working for NGO as Green peace it helps many people and our planet. However there are many good and bad sides of working more than our usual hours.
The negative side it can be bad mental health, often feeling tired and with less energy at home. Partners can split or divorce because of too much ambition at work and less time spend together. If the expectations after many working hours are not met then the person would be disappointed and out of inspiration. That would affect everyone around us and it can lead to the use of alcohol or other addictive things.
Overall we have to find the balance between healthy working hours and free time. Ambition is never a bad quality to have unless it gets dangerous for us. It can take us far or change our lives in bad direction.

These two pie charts represent the properties owned or rented by people in the UK. What we notice is that these percentages are from two different years 2007 and 1991. In total we see four different categories with the most popular choice buying a house. Comparing the numbers we see in 1991 owning a home is ten percent less than sixteen years later and it is still the most common choice. Social renting is the second best option in both given figures, with higher number of 23 percent in 1991. Surprisingly both charts show the same amount of people who choose to rent privately. Least numbers we see in social housing with only six percent in 1991, with every year passing it went down to two percent in 2007. However in the United Kingdom twenty-two million homes were owned or rented in 1991, which is five million less compared to 2007. Overall the two charts are showing us how modern it became to own a house instead of renting it or use social services.

Big thank you to this website. Today I sat for my IELTS test after preparing with you. I wish whoever works on updating this website would read my comment. This site has the best design and it mimics the real IELTS test accurately yet I want to make few notes hoping that you would improve the website for future users:
1. There are many spelling and punctuation mistakes in the texts, they need to be revised. 2. There are some spelling mistakes in the KEY ANSWER! 3. Most keys do not have all the possible answers for example 2 m = 2 metres = two metres 4. Some keys do not follow the question instructions like (only three words) yet the key will contain numbers 5. Most Listening recordings are unrealistic, accents are forced and they sound funny. Nothing like real IELTS. 6. Listening tests now do not include an example at the beginning
I volunteer to help, if possible. Please send me an e-mail if you accepted my offer. Thank you.
Practice test 1 Nowadays, working make up a big portion of human life, and jobs have a wider role to play in our lives, therefore, many people spend long time at work. There are some reasons for this matter, at which I will look. Personally I believe that the disadvantages previal over advantages.
The origion of this issue seems to stem from two main factors. First and foremost element is that due to living in a hard economical cirumstances especially in developing countries ,many pepole have to work from morning to late night in order to support their family. For these families working and job must be high on the agenda of other things because without working they have to deal with hassle of protecting their family. On top of this, in some countries there are not lots of aminities with using them people being entertained, so they prefer to work for escaping from daily routines.
The main pros of working alot in some countries is that when people work alot , they will earn a great deal of money and it has a good impact on the quality of not only their lives but also their society in which they have been living.
On the other hand, if people spend long time at work, they will not have a spare time for their family ,and this issue can make them depressed. Moreover, according to new research pepole who work a lot ,after retirement the rate of physical diseases in them are higher than other people. It can be said that this matter will cause some serious problems for both individuals and government because they should expend more money for medicine and public health care systems.
In conclusion, owing to a bad ecomomic situation and a few facilities for entertaining, many people work a lot. Personally , I believe that despite some real puls point of this issue such as improving the quality of familys and society, because of this fact that working alot can be harmful for mental and physical people health, the cons outweigh the drawbacks.

The pie charts illustrate the portion of housing owned and renyed in the UK in 1991 and 2007.
Overall, what stands out from pie charts is that the number of houses in 2007 was higher than houses in 1991. In addition, although in both years the biggest portion belonged to home owner, this part showed an increase in 2007 in comparision with this number in 1991. By contrast, social housing which accounted for the least percentage in 1991 and 2007, demonestrated a reduction in 2007.
The number of people who had a house for their own increased from more than half in 1991 to about three quarters in 2007. The private renting houses fraction held steady in both years at approximately 20%.
Social renting and social housing experienced a decline from 1991 to 2007, and in 2007 just a tiny fraction of chart was made up by social housing, and social renting in 2007 had similar portion exactely same as private renting percentage.
I HOPE REAL IELTS ISN'T THIS BADLY ARRANGED AND MARKED WRONG FOR SINGULAR AND PLURALITY.

The outer space is very huge and nobody knows what truths are hidden in this vast uncharted area. Exploring it might be helpful for some and for others it might not be necessary at all.
Many people think that space exploration is just a waste of money because of the various overwhelming issues of pollution and global warming. It is however necessary for governments and research organizations to work and spend money on protecting the environment and saving where we have lived for so many years. For instance, global warming is a leading problem of the 21st century and adequate funds must be allocated for its control.
Additionally, people in developing countries have many other problems like over-population, poverty and malnutrition. In such cases, people tend to focus more towards the basic necessities and not care about the already unknown space. For example, many South African countries are still behind the technology and don't have access to basic needs for survival.
In contrast to this, many think that space research brings answers to the unknown. It can be due to the nature of space that urges people to explore about it, or its an area of research where not much has been found with time. Very limited is known to mankind reagarding space. Also, it might bring growth and development to countries' R&D field and provide information to the world about something not known easily. This can also lead to the development of the country's name and bring representation at world level. For example, India being a developing country spends highly on space research.
To conclude, space has a plethora of unknowns for the human kind and researching about them should be necessary, while keeping in mind the other important needs that require urgent intervention like environmental issues.

why All exams comes harder than another exam How we can get good marks to get in IELTS exam
afyip9@gmail.com
Many people nowadays spend more time at work because it is considered rewarding and is supported by the office work culture. But its high time now for employers in some countries to change this mindset and break such prejudices that have developed over years.
There are many reasons as to why this has been the case in most of the offices. Majorly, the unrealistic expectations set by the superiors for the employees give birth to this culture of staying late for work. Employees are expected to stay late and work, although the work for the day may be finished but according to higher officials it shows the employee's dedication towards work. For instance, staying late at office earns rewards, promotions and working smartly doesn't. Because for managers more time spent means more hard working and better results.
Moreover, the education system and way of working has built up a trend to work for longer hours and put much effort. As this shows hard work and earns more money. So, for new generations it is logical to stay late. For instance, a law firm expects lawyers to stay late and work more then 80 hrs a week to get more payout.
In addition to this, there can be certain problems like stress and anxiety. Which in turn lead to serious health issues. Also, it makes a person less creative and makes the life like a machine. In order to stop this, people should learn to work smartly rather then spending more time. Additionally, companies should focus on employees who are quick and responsive. The upper management should understand the employees work based on the skill and efficiency and not on higher working hours.
To sum up, the higher number of working hours should be abolished and people should be judged on their skill. It is the responsibility of the company to take care of the employees. Also, the countries that support this should learn from others and make the work culture healthy.
Task 1: 6.0, Task 2: 6.0 Task 1: + Good glossary and grammar structure + The task has many comparisions, good linking + However, the task should be separated into paragraphs, not all in 1 paragraph, so that the examiners can easier to evaluate how you have done in the contents of each paragraph Task 2: + Good academic vocabulary and grammar structure + Having high linking properties of each content + The reasons and the explanations could be more perfect + However, the task should be separated into paragraphs, not all in 1 paragraph, so that the examiners can easier to evaluate how you have done in the contents of each paragraph
i had 3 answers correct but it marked them wrong cause i wrote very like in passage and it asked for how much and which component so i wrote percentage and it marked that wrong
In some countries people spend long hours at work. Why does this happen? Is it positive or negative development
Employees from several countries works maximize hours. This essay will explore reasons behind why people are working prolong hours and the benefits and drawbacks of this.
First and foremost, it is true that working plays a vital role in our life as it is by our job that we get mostly our income to sustain our daily needs in life and also a sense of self-value for our career disposition. For example, a worker who volunteers to do an over-time will be earning more than those who only work for 8 hours a day. The greater the salary, the stronger financial support one can provide for his family. This includes sending children to better education, buying a new house or even purchasing luxury things as they wish. However, spending long hours at work includes the possibility of not having proper rest and sleep, lowering the immune system resulting to illness and decrease health condition. In order for an individual to be healthy, one must have adequate sleep to be fit and agile. For instance, spending hours in front of the computer and sitting for too long causes eyestrain and lumbar problems. Research has shown, that people who goes to work with adequate sleep works more effectively and efficiently than those who are deprive of sleep. Thus, if a staff is overworked, they will not be able to be productive and may cause mistakes while working, leading to a failed task or risking other co-workers lives. In conclusion, the numerous negative impact to one's health outweighs the monetary benefits the employee will receive.

The given pie charts illustrates the percentage of owning and 3 different ways to rent a house in United Kingdom over a 16-year period, 1991-2007.
Overall, majority of the people residing in UK prefers owning their property rather than renting.Social housing on the other hand, is the least favored one.
To begin with, out of 22 million homes in the year 1991, roughly 55% chose to purchase their own home. Fast forward in the year 2007, the owning of homes depicted a significant rise of 15%.This is followed by social renting, which figures at around 20%. In contrast, this type of renting, slightly decrease with an estimate of 5% after 16 years.
Furthermore, people who are living in social renting remained constantly in favor of this housing strategy. While, social housing plays a minority in the population with a stand of approximately 10%, this continued to be the least preferred option with a fall of another 5%over the years.
https://ieltsonlinetests.com/wot/result/writing-practice-test-2-69242 PLEASE HELP TO GIVE SOME COMMENTS ON MY WRITING TASKS! GREAT THANKSSSS The chart which demonstrates the total number of minutes of phone calls in Australia between 2001 and 2008 separated the data into local, national and international and mobiles.

In 2005, local phone calls has reached 90 billions minutes and remained in the first place among other two categories. Although mobile was still got a lowest minutes of calls, it increased rapidly to the amount of 12 billion minutes. In addition, the total number of minutes of mobiles phone call quintupled from 12 billion minutes in 2005 to 46 billion minutes in 2008. Meanwhile, minutes of local phone calls was dropped slightly from 90 billion in 2005 to 72 billion in 2008, yet it got the largest number of minutes in telephone calls.

For both listening and reading tests, even if my answers in the blank spaces are correct, because of an extra word or article, it shows the wrong answer. How am I suppose to understand, how much from the text should I write in the blank space? Will the real exam be like this as well?
That is great. I would like to practice with someone as well, my test date is set for September 5th!

I don't know why but I wasn't able to submit the Reading test 1 and I had to evaluate it only by myself by writing down my answers on a piece of paper and then comparing them to the solution :/
You should have done it online, waay easier. Although the answers needds to be exact otherwise it will mark it wrong. At the end just do a quick skin through the wrong answers and give your self extra marks to questions that should be correct.

Practice test 1
Nowadays, working make up a big portion of human life, and jobs have a wider role to play in our lives, therefore, many people spend long time at work.

How we can get good marks to get in IELTS exam

How do I acquire my July 2020 test scores?
I joined this course start August 2020 for IELTS
I don't know why but I wasn't able to submit the Reading test 1 and I had to evaluate it only by myself by writing down my answers on a piece of paper and then comparing them to the solution :/
You should have done it online, waay easier. Although the answers needds to be exact otherwise it will mark it wrong. At the end just do a quick skin through the wrong answers and give your self extra marks to questions that should be correct.
