Writing Task 1

The pie charts which are given on the left side, demonstrate the percentage of housing owned and rented in the UK in 1991 and 2007. At the first glance, it is clear that the homeowner part of the charts has the most percentage in both years.

Home owners have the most proportion in the UK in 2007 and it is almost three-quarters out of the 27 million homes, and in 1991, the homeowners' percentage is in line with the other year which has almost more than half out of 22 million homes and takes most of the place of the chart.

Renting comes after housing owned, and has two types in these charts which are social and private. Social and private renting has nearly the same proportion in 2007 while social renting a little more than private renting in 1991.

Lastly, social housing takes a very small proportion of the charts in both of them but it takes a bit more percentage in 2007 than in 1991.
