Comments:
This is a good tip however it does not solve the problem of getting at least 6. If you follow these tips but if your grammar, connection sentences, coherence and vocabulary have a few errors....you get the same 5 or 5.5.
Also, there is a remark and it is very confusing about P-E-E. Some Teachers say you should not loss the focus about the topic and if you introduce other problems as "depletion of nature resources" is not a good idea to introduce.
Anyway just wondering who assess to IELTS evaluators , maybe each of them has different criteria? I saw very good essays but only getting 5.5 and 6. even using a good connectors, vocabulary, grammar, structures and following those tips but the maximum they got is 6.5. I am asking if it is fair all the time or just lucky if evaluator is relaxing when assess your essay.
The listening test is hard af, how could 5 answers come out from in non-stop consecutive sentences in about one minute or so, I didn't even realise the questions I was looking at was over! Frustrated af!

A highly controversial issue today relates to prioritising the expenditure of public money. Majority of the people believe that government should allocate funds wisely. In this essay I am going to discuss both sides of the argument before reaching a final conclusion.
Primary reason we have to take into consideration is that authorities should spend the money with great care and should make a good balance between necessaties and luxuries. The main reason for believing this is that our planet is facing a lot of survival difficulties in context of weather changes, global warming, poverty and many more. It is widely accepted that saving our mother planet will definitely increase the life expectancy of its inhabitants. One good illustration of this is rapidly increasing global warming effects on atmosphere. Appropriate policy making along with financial aid allocation can reduce it leading to favorable environment for people to enjoy a healthy life.
On the other hand, it is believed that government should spend public taxes on advancement of other planets, making them a place to live. It is often argued that one must flourish in every field of life ignoring the fact that one must address the major issues first. A particular good example here is of Dubai, which made itself the most attractive place for tourists by investing a quite good amount for public security and its betterment rather than wasting the taxes and public money on space experiments.
In my opinion officials should spend money on solving the problems on earth first and then they should think of the other businesses.
To recapitulate, according to the arguments aforementioned above, one can reach to conclusion that public money should be spent according to necessaties rather than wasting on useless purposes.

hi, um does anyone know if you see a score after you do this?
like what your score would be had you been doing the actual test?
its simple just add all the 4 scores and divide the final one with 4. its sort of like finding an average. and if the given value is between .0 and .5 it will be rounded off to .0 and if its between .5 and n.0 then it will be to 0.5. for ex if your score is 6.25 then your score will be 6. and if its 6.75 then your score is 6.5.

Hey, overall Task 1 is good enough for a 6 and for Task 2 i would say a 7.5. You covered the main point and expressed yourself pretty well. Other than that my only advice to you would be maybe work on your grammar, avoid repeating the same words and use at least one example. Good luck for your test !!

Reading and writing are the 2 hardest components. Speaking and listening are the easiest.
