Media as a hole has a big role and impact on our societies, however leaving positive advancements a side and focusing on emergencies and problems in general in their news reports could have some negative impact for the people and the society. In this essay we'll discuss if that's the case or it's shouldn't be that important.
Keeping people updated about what's going on in the world is the media's role, they should let everyone be aware of specially big worldwide events or even at a national level taking for example covid-19 which is pretty recent, they made a really good job on explaining every aspects of this virus starting from it's symptoms to why we should avoid social gatherings, they did aswell advertise it's vaccines and why we sholud take the shot as soon as we can, they should mention different bad actions from time to time such as theft in order to raise awarness specially between teenagers.
Focusing only on the bad side of the world could lead to the society to collapse as a results of a lack of trust, we would end up with an enclosed society which will result in hate crimes just like what's happening in the united states of america after the covid pandemic, people from asian origins have been receiving a lot of hate in general that being physical or verbal.
I partially agree with the fact that news reports prioritizing problems and emergencies however I think thatr positive developments should not be missed and instead they have be put in the spot light.
