There are numerous fascinating shows on television running back to back the entire day. This causes one to inadvertently be stuck to the small screen making them super lazy. With the Over The Top platforms flourishing, it is commonly heard that people don’t realise where time has passed away, while the household chores, studies, or work are procrastinated. The launching of a number of shows is burgeoning on a daily basis. Sitting on a sofa the whole day, gulping down soda & eating junk food is becoming more habitual. Example – With the release of Money Heist series on Netflix, many people claimed that they completed the whole season of 12 hours in one sitting. Various other shows like these are converting our robust generation into couch potatoes.

Lots of television has started affecting behaviour patterns in an appalling way. Young children these days prefer playing playstation or watching cartoons rather than going outside and making new friends. They have lesser incentive and motivation to leave the house. For instance, my nephew of 3 years knows all characters of the Marvel Universe show, but he resists going out to play or even talking to neighbors. A recent study has revealed that children who watch television for more than 5 hours have lesser friends in elementary school. In the case of adults, a copious amount of Television watching affects their communication skills with people.

To conclude, television has rapidly begun to dominate our day’s schedule making people extremely slothful due to captivating shows and alarmingly becoming less and less amicable and sociable.
