Information technology is prevalent because it is evolving and helping people in many ways. There are fluck of merits of using IT in almost every sector or field such as use of computer to keep track of commodities; however, disadvantages such as increase in fraud cannot be undermined. In this essay, I will discuss both positive and negative aspects of using infromation technology and why I think advantages are more.

The first and foremost perk of IT is using it in our home. By using IT technology such as Internet of Things(IOT), users are able to connect all the smart devices they own in their home and control all of that using a single controller which can be their mobile phone. For example, a user can change temperature of Air Conditioner attached in his or her living room wall from anywhere using his or her smart phone. An added advantage of this technology is that it helps people to keep track of their activities whether it is for fitness or work activities. Thus, IT comes with a bunch of benefits results into change in lifestyle of people.

On the other hand, there are some severe disadvantage too. Hacking and other illegal activities performed by attackers make people to stay away from such advance technology. In other words, in order to provide high tech services to the customer, internet is must where some people alter the networks to gain access to confidential information of users, as a result, fraud increases. A distinct disadvantage of using IT is to children. Children are not aware about what is relevant or irrelevant, therefore sometime tend to access media which is harmful or may have negative effects on their themselves. Hence, these drawbacks keep the growth of IT in slower pace.

In conclusion, IT integrated devices makes our lives easier and help us getting more productive and efficient; however, there are some barriers which can be alleviated with better security and monitoring.
