The diagram below shows how rain water is collected and then treated to be used as drinking water in an Australian town. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Answer

The given diagram illustrates the manner of how the rain water is being collected and then treated so as to end up as drinking water in a city in Australia.

First of all, a small group of houses is imprinted on this diagram, on which of them exists a drain connected via pipes with the roof, where the rainwater is collected. After this, the gathered water goes through this drain to an underground system, where the whole processing takes place. The first step of this processing is the water to be filtered and then moves to a huge tank, which is the place where is stored until the next step follow. Afterward, the last stage is water treatment with chemicals used for this purpose, which also takes place in an enormous tank.

When this process ends, water is ready to be consumed or used, so it goes through pipes into every individual house.
