The presented graph illustrates the evolution of the price of bananas in four different countries around the world between the decade of 1994 and 2004. Particularly, the investigated countries are Japan, France, Germany and USA.

Overall, the most unstable price of bananas with constantly rises and falls during the years is noticed in Japan, where almost all this time is also observed that takes place the highest price beside the other countries ranged from 1.60 to 3 US dollars per kilogram. Conversely, in USA the price of bananas is the most unchanging of the other countries, hovering at about 1.10 US dollars per kilogram, especially since 1998 that almost was not modified at all.

On the ohter hand, in Germany, generally the prices fluctuate during this period in normal paces with unimportant increase and decrease ranged about 1,40 US dollars per killogram. Similary, almost the same thing happens in France with an average price of 1,60 US dollars per kilogram until 2002, when a significant and rapid decrease appears and the price fall dramatically, being even lower than USA' s price.

To sum up, during the years of our interest, the price of this fruit has meet a significant fluctuation in some countries but a more stable one in other countries, which may depends in several factors, such as productivity and economy of each country individually.
