The chart below shows numbers of incidents and injuries per 100 million passenger miles travelled (PMT) by transportation type in 2002.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Writing task 1

The bar chart illustrates the differences in numbers of traffic accidents and injuries per 100 million passenger miles travelled (PMT) between various means of transport in 2002.

Overall, it is clear from the graph that the demand respond type reported the highest figures in both two criterions. Conversely, the lowest numbers was recored by commuter rails.

At the investigated time, the numbers of incidents and passengers getting injury by demand-responsive transport were much higher, compared to others. Specifically, on average, nearly 230 cases of traffic accidents and 170 injuried people were reported per 100 million PMT by this modes of transportation. In contrast, those figures for commuter rails were incosiderable, stood at around 20 for each criterion.

Meanwhile, the numbers of incidents reported and injuries for the three other means of transport were relatively equal. Light rails and buses experienced the same number of traffic accidents of around 75 cases, however, buses recorded more injuries, with 70 cases, compared to just 40 of light rails. Whereas, those figures for heavy rails were slightly smaller, which stood at under 50 and lower.

Writing task 2

Nowadays, the market for comestic products, which people use to improve the quality of their skin, are highly profitable and growing quickly. This trend is boosted by the increase in the demand of having a pretty appearance of many people, which I firmly believe that will have both positive and negative impacts on our health and society.

General speaking, the growth of comestic's market is understandable because when living standards have been improved, people are paying more attention on their appearance and willing to spend more money on this sector. Once the demand increases, companies invest more financial and technological resources to create more high-quality products to meet requirements from their customers. As a result, this new industry rapidly grows and brings many businesses a huge benefit.

When considering the effects of this emerging industry, it can bring some advantages, however, the drawbacks seem more tremendous. On the one hand, comestic products can help people lighten and whiten their skin, which might make them feel more confident when interacting with others. On the other hand, paying more attention on appearance can cause people, especially young generation overate this aspect and have negative attitudes toward other sectors in society. Furthermore, some skincare products, which are manufactured in unreliable companies, might be made up of chemicals that are detrimental to our health.

In conclusion, the increase in demand for skincare products are boosting the growth of benificial comestic market. Those widespread stuff although can improve the quality of our skin, they might also have many negative effects on other health and behaviours in s
