The given diagram provides information about the differences in several zones of temperature between mountains in tropical and mountains id temperate climate. First of all, it is remarkable to compare the existing temperature zones in each type of mountain. Particularly, despite the fact that on both kinds of mountains are noticed mostly similar temperature zones, in tropical mountains there are two extra zones, found on the base of the mountains. These zones are called warm and temperature respectively and are located in a huge area of about 1600 altitude meters. Tropical mountains are also much higher than temperate ones with a difference of about 1500 meters.

Therefore, in both types of mountains cool zone is found in a great percentage of the total mountain, being the largest one. A significant difference between these kinds of mountains is the size of the forests. As regards the tropical mountains there is an important region of almost 1000 altitude meters in a total height of 5000-meters mountain. To the contrary, the size of temperate mountains are covered the shortest by forests (about 500 meters).

The opposite thing happens as for the zone of alpine meadors as this is the smallest area in tropical mountains, but a significant one for temperate mountains with a size of over 1000 meters.

Finally, all about the zone of permanent snow a significant difference between the two mountains is observed, as it is almost the double size for tropical mountains compared to the temperates.
