Nowadays, not enough students choose science subjects in university in many countries. What are the reasons for this problem? What are the effects on society?

You should write at least 250 words.

Though, science is considered to be the backbone of development in every country, few students prefer science subjects at undergraduate and graduate level in most of the nations. This is mainly due to the mindset of student as students think science is too hard subject to study. It might have both positive and negative impact on society. However, I believe it will have a benefits in the society.

On the one hand, every student wants to be independent and financially stable at younger age easily. They prefer short path and do not want to face complex situations. It is a common belief that , science is too complex to be understood by normal students. This is the main reason students prefer other subjects over science. For instance, students want to gain visible outcomes on short period of time, having major subject as science will not make it happen.

On the other hand, students shift more towards management studies which emphasizes more on growth of financial skills and money. Improvement in business skills, critical thinking skills makes student sharper and mentally strong. Consequently, students will build up business mind and start to earn on their own. By doing so, students will be independent and settled at young age. This will ultimately help to rise the economic standard of country which will directly have a positive effect on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country.

In conclusion, taking science at undergraduate level and graduate level is less preferable by many students. Students take science as a difficult subject and move towards other subject. However I believe that enrollment in other areas than science also may have a positive impact both on the society and individuals life.
