The graph illustrates the various types of transportation for urban people in one European city used for travel to and from work in 1960, 1980, and 2000.
Overall, the graph shows a fluctuating trend in different types of transportation used to travel to and from work in a European city. The bus was the most popular of transportation for European citizens in 1960. After 20 years, Europeans were shifted to train for daily transportation to and from work. However, at the beginning of the millennium, the car was found to be the most used transportation to and from work surpassing 3 other transportation.
A fluctuating trend was experienced by the train and tube transportation. The train itself became the most popular transportation in 1980 with 28% of European citizens using the train. The trend lowered after 20 years with only 22% of citizens using the train. The tube had a promising trend in 1960 equaling the percentage of trains used in 1980. However, the percentage had a declining trend in the next 20 years with only 22% in 1980 and gained about 4% in 2000.
The car showed an increasing trend over the period by becoming the most unpopular transportation in 1960 with only 7% and grew to 23% in 1980. In 2000, the car was the first choice for urban people to use for their daily transportation to work with 37%. Bus, on the other hand, had a decreasing trend which became the most admired transportation in 1960 with 39% and lost its popularity in 1980 to 27%. The declined trend stopped at 15% in 2000 and became the lowest used for buses over the period.

The percentage of overweight children in western society has increased by almost 20% in the last ten years.
Discuss the causes and effects of this disturbing trend.

Overweight children have grown an enormous amount in children's development. Research showed that the amount of overweight children has increased to almost 20% in the last decade. The amount illustrates the importance of educating children and parents about the danger of obesity which can produce threats to children's health. Thus, it is important to know what causes and effects of obesity during children's development.
Children, during their development, are not aware of which type of food they love to eat. They tend to satisfy their appetite regardless of any impact on their body. Junk food, sugar-based candy, cake, and snacks are among their favorite food because of its sweet and tasty kind of foods to fulfill their appetite. This kind of food is proven to be harmful as they can make more glucose in their metabolism. If their metabolism is in full condition, the glucose will be stored as fat in their body which makes the children gain more weight and get obese.
The effects of obesity lead to several health problems that make children vulnerable to any disease. Obesity was also found to be the cause of cancer, diabetes, and heart problems in which they grow adult. On the other hand, obesity can lead to a lack of exercise during children's development which can lead to a bad influence on maintaining healthy behavior in their adults.
In conclusion, the causes of children getting overweight are because of the enormous of glucose eaten during development while also having uncontrolled eating habits during development. The effects are massive which can lead to cancer, diabetes, and heart problems in their adult life.
