This pie chart depicts how many time employed adults spent on different activities in particular counrty between 1957 and 2008.

Overall, we can clearly see that percentage of time spent on work had increased since 1957. However time allocated for sleeping had negative trend in the next five decades.

In the year of 1958 two thirds of the time were spent on working and sleeping at 33% and 32% respectively. The remaining part of time was for going outs with friends or relatives at 19%, for relaxing at home at the rate of 8%, with 6% of other interest or sport activities and the least amount of time was for travel to work(2%).

After decades, in the year of 2008, people used to spent more time on working and business trips at rate of 42% and 8%. Moreover people found more time for relaxing at home(13%) by sacrificing their time for sleep and family. Time spent on relatives and friends had surprisingly reduced to only 6%, but time spent on other interests and entertainment had slightly increased.

In the recent years, more and more students prefer to study IT or law rather than science subjects. In this essay I will discuss the reasons of their choice and explain why it will have a bad impact on our society.

To begin with, our world is developing and the era of technology came and almost every job requires at least minimum knowledge of computers usage. That is way overwhelming majority of undergraduates choose Computer Science deegre, because IT jobs are very demanded this days and in this field, unlike the sciences, you learn particular skills which are obligatory to know. Moreover, field of Information Technology has the highest percentage of employment for students who has just graduated.

In addition, science is very sophisticated field because it includes subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This subjects differ from each other and students on Science faculty have to learn each of them. It is obvious that not everyone is capable of keeping such a big amounts of information in their minds.

However, humanity still needs experienced scientists, because we could not manage to live without them. For instance, they are responsible for inventing new medicines to cure different illnesses or for maintaining our environment, otherwise we will see an enormous decrease in population not only humans, but every kinds of other animals.

To conclude, humankind still need scientists and people should understand that this job is extremely important and useful, without these specialists our planet will die in the soonest decades. Therefore, young generation should become more interested in this field of study and perhaps, choose science as their university subject.
