The first chart below shows the results of a survey which sampled a cross-section of 100,000 people asking if they traveled abroad and why they traveled for the period 1994-98.

The second chart shows their destinations over the same period.

Writing task 1

The Table illustrates the visits abroad by UK residents and the purpose of visit in particular period of time (1994 - 1998). The chart shows peopl's destination over the same period.

Overall, More UK residents visits abroad in the year 1998 (28,828). Otherhand, the UK residents visits abroad is less recorded in the year 1995 (21,610). There are various purposes for visting abroad by peopple of England namely, Holiday trip, Business trip, some of the UK residents visits to friends and relatives in abroad.

In 1998, the number of people of UK who visited abroad was recorded more. Total of 28,828 people are visited abroad in 1998. In specific there are around 25000 people who visited western europe, close to 2000 people visited to North America and approximately 3000 residents visited other areas. Coming to the year 1997. There are approximately 24000 people who visited Western Europe. close to 2000 and around 3000 British residents who visisted North America and other Areas respectively.

The lowest number of people visited abroad was recorded in the year 1995. In specific close to 18000 people are went to Wester Europe. where as, close to 1000 and 2000 people visited North america and other areas respectively.
