Writing task 2

Love is universal. There is no denying the fact that human emotions are driven from the heart and feelings form the very existance of a person. Sexuality does not determine a persons worth nor should it affect their place in the society. Hence, gay people should have the right to do things as they see fit and be free to choose the institution of marriage.

An open mind will see it as a natural order of events just like a heterosexual marriage. So gay marriages should be made legal and people from the community should be allowed to take a step ahead in their relationships. I've seen a friend of mine struggle from this as she didn't get the acceptance from her family when she came out to them. In a heartbreaking turn of events, she left home and moved to a different city to live by herself. She fall in love with someone form her office building an amazing relationship over the years. They're now together for around 7 years and wants to take their relationship ahead. But the barriers created by the close minds of people and their inability to change has become a problem for her as well as many others like her.

Marriage as an instution is not just an agreement to live together. It is a legal tender that allows individuals to be a part of society and build a family with many legal and regulatory perks that the society has to offer. Every individual desires to have a family that they can call their own when others are distant. A marriage provides that stability and thus play a crucial role in a persons growth.

So I could not emphasis enough on the fact that love should be indepnent of the narrow-minded thoughts of some individuals and celebrated equally for everyone. Legalisig gay marriages whould be a great first step towards accomplishing this.
