The bar chart below shows the numbers of men and women attending various evening courses at an adult education centre in the year 2009. The pie chart gives information about the ages of these course participants.

Write a report for a university, lecturer describing the information shown below.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Answer

the bar graph above demonstrates the number of male and females who are participating in different kinds of courses in the adult education center in 2009. while the pie graph illustrates the age proportions of both genders. it is clear from the two charts that women who are 50 years old or over are the most members in classes.

According to the bar graph, males are almost least participated in every class except sculpture, with only 10 in drama, nearly 24 in painting, 10 in sculpture, and finally 20 in language.

on the other hand, women have taken the lead in nearly all courses. with 20 in drama, 30 in painting, 4 in sculpture approximately, thus, we could say that men overcome women in this class, and lastly 40 in painting which makes it the most attending class.

moving to the pie graph, we can see that 42% of both genders are 50 years old or over, nearly a quarter of them are in range between 40 to 49, 16% are 30-39, 11% are 20-29, and finally only 5% are teenagers.

The issue of gay marriage remains controversial. Some people think that this trend has adverse effects on the society while others believe that it is seen as a natural trend and right for people to choose this type of marriage. Should gay marriage be legal?
