Writing task 2

The risks that smoking can cause are obvious; however, a lot of people find it difficult to get rid of this bad habit. The reason for starting to smoke can either be stress or pleasure, but when it began it takes time, effort and a lot of courage to quit.

It is wondered where the smoking habit came from? On the one hand it can be a pleasure. Many people start trying cigarette when they are quite young. It can be time when a friend offers a tobacco in a fun social situation. is the common response when I ask some smokers that I know. Take my father for an example, he has been smoking for 30 years and put a lot of effort without success. According to him, smoking brings a pleasure moment that he can relieve the stress. Therefore, even though being well aware of the dangers of smoking, it is too hard for smoking addicts to stop it.

Another question may be raised is how we can create a society with less cigarette consuming. Rather than applying high tax or outlaw some selling restrictions which bring very few effects. In my opinion, the tobaco plants should not be grown and shut down the cigarette production factories can cut down the supply source. Preventing it from the market and make it impossible to buy instead of hard to buy seems to be more realistic to reduce the use of cigarette.

In conclusion, actions speak louder than words. Despite of being warned of the drawbacks of smoking, many people still try to ignore it. It is time for the whole society has to work together in terms of introducing stronger action plans to create a non-smoking world.
