The developments in the field of technology has made mobile phones accessible and affordable to common man. In today's world, Mobile phones are everywhere and everyone has one. The comparision of Smoking to the use of mobilephone as antisocial and banning the usage of mobile phones like smoking in certain places might seem a little extreme but I do agree to the impact it has on our social lives.
This technology started with the telephone to convey important information or check on our family to our current world where people use it in the bathrooms too. It is not possible for a person to concentrate while using their mobile phones and are not attentive to their surroundings or people. In many situations, people need to pay attention to someone or/and not cause distractions to their surroundings like in an office meeting, schools, colleges, while talking to a doctor or while driving. Mobile phones cause a lot of disturbance if carried along everywhere.
The new-era games has left people addicted to it and has even lead to accidents in many instances. In many countries, the use of mobile phones while driving has been banned and is considered a punishable offense. It can understood from such laws that the impact of use of mobile phone- while driving or while on any important tasks is dangerous.
Though the distractions caused due to usage of mobile phone or disturbances caused due to its notifications, it is important to understand that there are few upsides to having a mobile phone in times of emergency. Mobile phones have helped us stay connected with people, technology, provided maps, calculators and a play buddy.
The ban of it in a few places is necessary because people do a few things knowing it is bad or dangerous for the thrill of risk. Sometimes, suggesting people to do so is not enough and hence the need for intervention with law.
