It is true that the mobile phone is as antisocial as smoking. Smoking is banned in certain places and yet mobile phones are on their way to being the same in society. There are some prominent reasons for this and i personally believe that it has more negative consequences.
To begin with, smoking was a detrimental issue in society for many years. It causes many health issues and creates harmful effects on society. Smoke addiction within the young social groups evokes more detrimental effects due to unsuccessful marriage life, education, abnormal childbirths, unemployement, increase of crimes and etc. But over the past few years it is noticeable that many youngsters and teenagers are missing the best periods of their lives due to the mobile phones. They are glued to the screen throughout the day and avoid education while addicting to mobile phone games, chattings, watching sexual content, and other entertainment works. This trend has now been boosting for the last two years due to the prevailing covid 19 pandemic situation all across the world. Moreover, teenagers are distancing from their parents even they live in the same house.
The other side of the story is some of the people are suiciding due to not having a mobile phone for their education and professional life. Is this device an important part of our lives than our breath? The answer should be properly addressed by the intervention of the government and other authorities to mitigate the prevailing issue. Awareness programs should be held within school levels and the content should be gone through with parents also. The issue can be raised due to the online education. The governement can introduce many regulations for different age categeries to mitigate the issue.
In conclusion, mobile phone usage should be well controlled and it should not be banned. A device should be there to ease the work of a human and not to bother their work. Banning will not be the only option since it has many advantages over disadvantages. Smoking is a different story since the disadvantages outnumbered that that of advantages of it.
