The diagrams shows us about the stop bank method and its principle to prevent houses from drowning because of the 100-year flood. On the following diagrams we can se the difference that can be caused by the stopbank.

The lower diagram shows us what can be caused by the 100-year flood if the stop bank was not applied. The flood level will be approximately 300 mm bellow the floor level. However, according into the diagram on the top,the usage of stopbank will reduce the flood level much more. On the following diagram , the stop bank is being used by making it a barrier/berming between the river/drain and the housing area. In addition, the flood gate that built before the stop bank will help the water running directly into the river without trapping it inside.

In conclusion , The usage of stopbank can be used to reduce the flood level caused by the high density of rain by letting the water flowing directly into the drain with floodgate while the stopbank preventing the water flows back into the building area.

Deciding to get married might be a terrifiying decission for many people especially when they thought that they have not fully understand their partner well. Cohabitation is often considered one of the effective way to know their partner better before they decided to get married.

Cohabitation may caused some advantages for young couple. By living together, they have more chances to fully understand each other not only by adjusting their views towards certain point in life but also their habit. For instance, by cohabitation you will see their night routines or may be the thing that you have not got a chance to see when you lived seperately.

On the other hand, cohabitation also can caused a disadvantages too. As we know married life is not only about the fun day but also a bad day too. By increasing the interaction frequency between a couple, more friction will be inevitable. Adjusting to other people life has never been an easy process .There are always a lot of arguments and may be fight around it that we should be aware of. In addition, on the religious side many religion is against this method. They believed that un-married couple should remain to live separately before their got married and even the views about allowing people to having a romantic relationship before married is still on dispute.

From my personal view, I would choose agree to disagree about the cohabitation. Although from the religious view it still argueable to some people yet i found that cohabitation might be an effective way to understand your partner better. By having a sneak peek about married life you will be able to understand not only about your significant other but also the married life it self. Sometimes as a couple, we have to have the capability to adjust and looking for the middle ground in some extent of our life even when you only deciding what is the brand of soap that you will buy. But also we have to fully aware that in some family especially in asian family, convincing them to allowed you to cohabitate with your partner would be difficult knowing that it is not common in their custom.
