Some countries achieve international sports by building specialised facilities to train top athletes, instead of providing sports facilities that everyone can use. Do you think this is positive or negative development?
Discuss both views and give your opinion.
You should write at least 250 words.
Providing top athletes by specialised facilities could give us both of positive and negative.
Firstly, let is talk about positive impact. By doing this could give us oppurtinity to host an international sport competition.
Alongside with that high amount of people will visit that country and it will help economy to grow. And for people who live there, will have chance to watch popular sport competition with low price. For athletes of that country, it would be like taking a gold thread. Because they can do their training in their country. So it will increase their ability.
As i said earlier it as negative impact on society too. Normal citizens can't use that in other words they won't benefit from it. Building this kind of accommodation need high amount of money. For some developing countries, building it will be difficult and they need to take loan.
In contrast they can build another one but little bit smaller facilty. While there is no competition held, citizens can use this chance to use this facility. It will increase population's health. Also it will help people who is figthing against their bad habits by helping them use their precious time doing athletes or sports. Also they can cover the expenses by renting it.
In summary, It doesn't have to be a place for just one athlete. They can build smaller one for the citizens and bigger one for athletes and holding international competition. By doing this it will give equally opportunity for both of citizens and athletes.
