Writing Task 1

This bar chart is providing information about the people who were born in and outside of Australia who are living in cities, rural areas and towns during a 15 years period. It is clear from the graph that those who were born outside of Australia have a higher ratio compared to those who were born in it in general.

According to the graph, we can clearly see that most people from both sides prefer to live in cities which have the highest rate out of the other two by far, and it has been stable through the whole period.

While the other two had a significant decrease in figures especially for rural areas which had a dramatic decline in numbers at the end of the period.

To sum up, we could say that people prefer living in cities whether they were born in or outside of Australia, but people who were born outside have a slightly higher rate than those who were born in it.

Task 2

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Rich countries often give money to poorer countries, but it does not solve poverty. Therefore, developed countries should give other types of help to the poor countries rather than financial aid. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

You should write at least 250 words.

There is no doubt that these days we have a big diversity with countries' financial status. So many people think the act of rich countries providing additional aid to poorer countries to be a positive step. While others think it may cause problems in the future. In this essay I will discuss and analyze both points of view to reach my own conclusion.

On one hand, rich countries helping with additional aid is going to help build a healthy relationship between said countries. For example, they could help construct more facilities such as health care centers which in return will make the people grateful for what the rich country is doing for them. And in time will try to repay the rich country with different kinds of services ending up in a beneficial relationship for both sides.

On the other hand, by assisting with more than financial stuff this might actually lead to a loss for both the poorer countries and the ones providing said aids. To illustrate, if rich countries gave more than money to poorer ones this could make them dependant and halt their own development as a country. It may also create a different kind of issues like blaming the rich country for not providing enough resources. Which is a bad act to say the least, but a very common one in a dependant relationship.

After a careful analysis, my personal thought of the matter is leaning toward the opposing side. It is good to help in financial matters but no more than that.
