Our ancestors more like to eat insects as thier food and snack, so as rise in population people need food for surviving. Some people considering that insects are not good for eating causes health problems and using them in field is damaging the nature, So country make people aware of edible insects.
Firstly, Insects are filled with lots of good nutrients, including amino acids and protein. To clarify insects are very small in size, many insect species have less than 5g of fat per serving.
For example, Edible insects like crickets and grasshoppers, but also many bugs, adult beetles, dragonfly nymphs, caterpillars, etc. usually possess relatively high amounts of protein, frequently reaching up to 70% or even more based on dry matter analyses.
This brings me to my second point, only few types of insects are good for health and they are very harmfull to field. Analyze that insects damages the crop badly they had that history, So the to protect crop from them we many bugs free powder or other chemicals. for example when the farmer started the growing rice in the field, after one or one and half month he uses some fatilizers on the crop this fatilizer uses to kill the insects which harm to that crop.
In conclusion, I believe that government should make awareness among people that edible insects are very good for health but they are harm to crop, So many try eat edible insects they have very high portein and nutrition, this make people to know about edible insects.
