Writing task 1

The diagram shows how solar panels can be used to provide electricity for domestic use.The first step show how the solar panel has been constructed. A metal box is linked to two external pipes and a trasparent top is put on top of the box. The diagram shows the different ways solar panel provides electricity to heat air or to heat water. In the first case, one of the external pipes serves as an inlet and permits cool air to enter the box. The cool air is now warmed up thanks to the trasparent top that lets sun rays raise the temperature into the box. The final step involves the other pipe that lets the warm air ut of the box. The sun rays act as heat energy. The second case, where solar panel is used to heat water, presents only one difference. Inside the box, the two pipes are linked with a water pipe. The water pipe permits to warm and transport the cool water that gets in the box. Overall, the process is made by very few steps, so apparently solar panel can be very useful for the enviroment and for the communities.

Writing task 2

Nowdays, there's the widespread belief that every student has his own way to get knowledge and understand new learnings. However, school systems can be different and complicated so it might be difficult to try adapt to every students's necessities. To fulfill this lack, new teaching systems have been created and used all over the world. Some of these new systems have been adapted to the idea that school children should not be given homework by their teachers. One of the reasons why people appreciate this type of teaching is that they believe school hours should be sufficient to fulfill the learning program. According to this people, school students should not be overwhelmed by the presence of school and study in their life. When school hours are completed, students should have the possibility to practice their hobbies or deal with their actual life outside the school complex. While some people get along with this belief, others argue that homework plays an important role in the education of children. This concept is carried on by the traditional idea that school work should continue during the day in order to get some good results. Apparently, these people think that homework can help understand and learn better. This happens because usually children have to solve their homework alone, so they really have to apply themselves if they want to get them right. In my opinion both the ideas have their pros and cons. During my high school years I had to do a lot of homework and I have learned to understand why those homework were assigned to the students. I used to be very careful in listening the teachers in class, but the things I have learned better were those I have studied at home, with my own peace and time. Consequently, with all the homeworks assigned to me, I had great difficulties in finding the time to do my own hobbies or just to relax. One solution for this problem may be creating a school system were both ideas can be integrated and a schedule can be organized to decide periods when students have to do homeworks and periods when they don't have to.
