The map and chart illustrates the willingness of the countries around the globe, to consume insect products as food and the availability of these products in the market with respect to their price.

Overall, the majority of the countries show unwillingness to eat insect products. The Mexican tops the list with 71% willingness on the other hand, with only 21%, Japanese gave the vote in the favor of willingness to eat insects. When it comes to price for the products, all of the insect products are higher in the price (except for the price of beef, which is almost equal to the price of House cricket, $3) as compare to the common food, for instance, chicken, rice, and buffalo. The common food price ranges between $0.78 to $3.03 while the product of insect starts from $2.6 up til $10.65.

Although, globally the scarcity of is increasing drastically, but majority of countries with huge populations, show unwillingness to go for insects. The United Nation along with governments of all countries around the globe, should find an alternative solution for this rising issue.

As the population is increasing, the country should start using insects as alternative of foods, to overcome the problem which is rising due to high demand of food. It is often believed that the consumption of insects is not only unhealthy but also it will make negative impact on nature. Eating insects will somewhat solve the shortage problem of food but the reaction of including insects in the diet will lead them to disaster of, not only heath but also nature.

One of the benefit of having insects as meal is that, it will save the people to die because of starvation and hunger which is widely common in developing countries, for instance, countries in the African continent. Another advantage of opting for insect products is that, some of the insects have rich amount of nutrition which is required by human body. This is the reason, insects play a major role in manufacturing medicines.

While looking at the advantages of consuming insects, we can not ignore the disadvantages, of which some of them may lead people to death. To illustrate, most of the insects carry poision within or outside of their bodies, if we will, somehow, by mistake eat them, the chances of living alive will be reduced, in some case death is guaranteed.

Insects play a major role for nature, each insect has its own way to serve the nature, to give a clear example, flies are responsible for growing plants and trees, and without these, the nature will be effected nagatively.

To conclude, although there are some positive points but negative points will leave more impact. The United Nations, along with all countries should initiate research to find better alternate of foods and comeover the scarcity of foods, specially in developing countries.
