You should write at least 250 words.

Some people believe that improving the environment can only be done with the help of the government and the large companies. I do not agree with the statement. In this essay, I will discuss why a simple individual living in a community would be of great help with protecting and preserving the surroundings.

Protecting the environment is the major responsibility of an individual living in a certain community. Without their help, their surroundings will be a total mess. Like for example, cleaning their area, and removing all the litter nearby. On top of that, sorting out all their garbage, separating biodegradable and non-biodegradable, and recycling materials at home that they may find useful. This will help protect our world to lessen the garbage.

Furthermore, preserving the environment can also be a primary responsibility of anyone living in a particular area. Most especially those people who live near a forest or a place where wildlife can be found. For instance, people residing in the Mindanao area in the Philippines, it is well-known to have wonderful forestry and have lots of wildlife creatures. They try to preserve the forests by not doing any illegal logging and hunting different types of animals. Whenever they caught someone did something illegal, they immediately contact the local government to look for the culprit. For this reason, I can say that they try to help even with their minor capabilities.

In conclusion, protecting and preserving the environment could also be done by a normal person living in the community. People should not merely depend on the government or any large agencies, because with a little help of an individual can have a great impact towards improving the environment.
