The bar chart below illustrates the amount of British citizens moving out of the country to their chosen destination from the year 2004 to 2007.
Overall, it is vividly portrayed that Australia is the destination of most British citizens leaving the country in each year out of the five countries mentioned in the graph, while New Zealand and USA are the two countries with the least immigrants from Britain compared to the other coutnries labelled on the bar chart consecutively in each year.
In 2004 and 2006, New Zealand had the lowest amount of immigrants from Britain compared to the other countries. However, interestingly, in 2005, the amount of people who emigrated to USA declined substancially to about half of last years data, consequencing in it becoming the least desired country in that year. Lastly, in 2007, both New Zealand and USA have approximately the same amount of immigrants from Britain, and therefore, they share their position as the least desired countries in 2007.

The statement suggests that the most optimal way to study the English language is in an English speaking country, but it is not the only way possible for students to acquire knowledge in order to increase their English proficiency.
In my perspective, I believe learning the English language in English speaking countries such as the United Kingdom, or the United States of America will provide the most effective learning environment for the English learners, because the students will be situated into a situation that will encourage, or force them to consistently acquire new knowledge on the English language, and manipulate their english skills on a daily basis. It is also compulsory for them to adapt rapidly in order for them to be able to communicate with others in their new English speaking environment.
Studying in an English speaking country will allow learners to frequently listen to new vocabularies, and phrases they are unfamiliar with, though, used often in the lives of the locals. This could possibly allow them to improve, and expand their vocabulary content used in their everyday conversation.
Even though learning the English language in an English speaking country could be the most effective, it is not the only way in which an individual could develop his, or her English skills. As a Thai citizen studying in an international school in Thailand, I must agree to this statement as I personally have been studying the English language in Thailand for approximately 10 years, and I believe it is less effective compared to studying in an English speaking coutnry as students tend to communicate with each other in Thai, or in their native tongues when the teachers are not around. However, I believe it is a very impactful alternative to studying the English language in an English speaking country.
As a conclusion, I agree to the statement as I believe studying the English language in an English speaking country will be the most effective way of learning the language. However, I also think that it is not the only way in which an individual could improve their English proficiency.
