The above diagram represents a proposed town. The housing,roads,ring roads,industry,parking and bus stand are represented by the upper case letters H,R,RR,I,P and B respectively.The sqaure box with horizontal lines represnts the reacreational areas.

The town has two bus stands opposite to each other at the center of the town. There are parking space beside theses bus stands. There are six houses and four recreational areas surrounding the two bus stands in the center of the town. There are two roads connecting the bus stands to the ring road.

The town has been proposed in a radial manner.There are ten houses around the ring road.There are two industries between the housing settlemnts. There is a recreational area beside two houses in the south-western corner of the town plan. Towards the north western corner and south eastern corners of the town plan,there are industries. The houses are seperated by roads.There are four roads connecting the extremes of the town to the bus stand.

Sporting events have been an integral part of the world history ever since the Greek Civilization. There is always been an arguement whether hosting international sports events may or may not be benificial for the country. Some say hosting international sports events while others disagree. In this essay, I will be expressing my perspective on both views.

Hosting an international sports event is benificial for a country. International sports event play a vital role in improving the sporting facilities available in the country. When a country is given a chance to host an international sports event, the Government of the country would have to strive to build world-class sporting arenas and stadiums. Post the event, these arenas and stadiums would become training centers for the future atheletes and players aspiring to represent the country on the global diaspora. For exmaple, New Delhi organized the Commonwealth Games in the year 2010. The stadiums and arenas built for this prestigeous event are till date being used to nurture budding Indian players and atheletes.Organizing an international sports event will give job opportunities in various sectors like project management, construction and planning. By hosting an international sports event, the country can present its cultural heritage at the global level.When South Africa organized the FIFA World Cup in 2010,ICC T20 World Cup in 2007 and the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2003, they made sure that the mascot,advertisements,promo videos and theme song glorified their rich culture of South Africa.The apartments and residential complexes built for the atheletes and players can be made into resorts and hotels for the tourists after hosting the international sports event.

There are some disadvantages or problems in hosting international sports events. Not all countries all across the globe are developed. To host an international sports event, a country needs to finetune billions of dollars. Not all countries in the world would be able to get such a huge amount of money. There has been major financial scams while organizing such international sports event. Nearly Rs 101 Crore Timer scam between Tissot and 2010 Commonwealth Games Organizers was revealed. Majority of buildings,stadiums and arenas built for such events are left neglected in a desolate state after the event. The swimming pools used for the 2004 Athens Olympics are left in a desolate state with poor maintainace. Iconic tennis courts of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics look worse than abandoned sites.
