The diagram gives information about the process of making carbonated drinks.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Answer

The diagram illustrates the production of carbonated drinks in a mass market.

Overall, it is a 5 stage process which involves water cleaning, heating, carbonation, mixing and finally filling processes.

First, a raw water is filtered and pumped to the elctric heater after addition of water softeners and chemicals. This water cleaning stage is followed by the heating evaporation and carbonation stage where a heated water passes through the cooling pipe to be mixed with the carbon dioxide from the external source. Addition of carbon dioxide introduces characteristic bubbling apperance to the water.

A long pipe connects the gas containg tank with the mixing tank. The the carbonated water fills the mixing tank which contains substances such as a colouring, a syrup, and a flavour. There are cans and bottles to which the filtered mixture is poured before the packaging stage. Finally, boxes containg bottles and cans are delivered to the supermarket.

Computers are now the basis of the modern world. They should therefore be introduced into classrooms, and their programs used for direct teaching purposes. However, dependence on computers in teaching may carry a certain degree of risk to students.

Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

Give reasons for your answer, and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
