[purvachaturvedi] Writing Practice Test 488168

Task 1

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

The diagrams below show the existing ground floor plan of a house and a proposed plan for some building work.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

You should write at least 150 words.

Writing task 1

The existing floor plan has two internal walls dividing the whole space into three- one is the kitchen, the hall and the living room. There are two enteries to the house one opens to the hall while the other is connected to the kitchen. There is a storage under the stairs. All the rooms are connected through the hall.

The proposed floor plan consists of a living room, staircase connecting the other vertical floors and a kitchen.Similar to the exsiting floor plan there are again two entrances to the house, one is the main entrance which opens to the living room while the other back entrance is connected to the kitchen.

It could be seen that there is more openness in the proposed floor plan in comparasion to the existing one. If a person enters through the main door he/she would directly enter the living room instead of a hall which seems more convinent and cozy, on the other hand in the exisiting floor plan when someone new enters they tend to get confused about the circulation as it is not clear which door is for living and which one is for the kitchen.

Considering all these factors it seems that the proposed floor plan is better as compared to the exisitng one.

Education plays a very important role in a child's growth and development. History shows that people used to start teaching their children at a very early stage, be it hunting, cooking or various tasks which would help a child in future. As the time passed and there came various other aspects of life, now the topics to teach are changed.

There could be different ways in which a child could be taught, it could be teaching at home or in schools, it's the personal choice of the parents itself.

Living in the current senerio children going to school could be more confident as compared to the one who are taught at home, since in schools they tend to interact with different other children teachers whereas at home there are just one or two of them teaching them. Also when they meet other children they develope a bond with them called friendship which is really important in the long run.

Now a days it in order to get employed one should have a certain qualification which could only be achieved if a child goes to school. Other than studies there are also other factors which helps a child if he or she goes to school which is extra curricular activities such as sports, drama etc these activities also help in the overall development of a child.

In the end because of the compitition all around the world it could be said that children going to school have a better overall understanding about how to excel in life as compared to the children studying at home.
