The chart shows global sales of the top five mobile brands between 2009 and 2013. Firstly, as we can see, Nokia has the higher average in sales of all companies, with between 400 to 450 in 2009 and 2011, however, in 2013 sales diminished significantly. Secondly, Samsung’s numbers had the opposite behavior, as sales increased through the years. In 2009 they’d sold approximately the half of Nokia’s sales the same year; consequently, mobile phone sales increased by almost 100 points in 2011, ending up with the highest value of the chart in 2013, with 450 exactly.
Thirdly, Apple shows a similar ascending scale as Samsung, but with a big difference in sales, being technically the half of it. In 2009, Apple sold the lowest number of mobile phones of the chart, in addition, it got duplicated the following two years and multiplicated by a bit more than 1.5 on the last report in 2013. Fourthly, LG’s sales decayed through the shown timeline; in 2009, they were located between 100 and 150 points, decreasing gradually in 2011 and 2013, respectively.
Finally, ZTE apparently shows the minimum average of all, increasing sales in little steps across those four years. In summary, Samsung is leading the global mobile phone sales, while the second place is clearly taken by Nokia.
Task 2

Some people prefer to spend their lives doing the same things and avoiding change. Others, however, think that change is always a good thing.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
You should write at least 250 words.

Some people prefer to spend their lives without changing, is it the best option? Is this going to allow us to cope with new situations? Others think that changing is a virtue, an ability with a happy ending most of the time. In the following lines these perspectives will be covered.
We can hear some people say "hey, take me as I am. I won't change." or, maybe, "why changing if everything's fine here?". Well, there's a group of people that feel their own lives running like a film, like something they can't control, apparently. If we think of a person who developed the right skills, a human being that take smart decisions without harming others and himself, we can agree that change isn't neccesary. How many cases like those do you know? I don't know too many. However, getting a different haircut than usual, is that a change? Learning a new word, is it a change? Isn't every new knowledge a change for all of us?
Avoinding change in the human being is as natural as seeking it. Psychologists help people with their issues through change and that change is present in a decision making process or when a patient has to accept reality as it is, as somehing he cannot modify. In both cases, change is the cornerstone. A kid changes internally and externally to become an adolescent and later to become an adult and so on. Even David Bowie wrote a song called Changes, which, in summary, talks about facing new things and takes the word "changes" as a very complex and powerful word. However, everything has a bad side, change can be useful to become a better person or, in contrast, to decay; Jesus looked for change, Ghandi looked for change, but Hitler looked for change too. Some people change to become a criminal or to fall into drugs, as we know, nothing's perfect and change isn't free of criticism.
In my opinion, change is mostly a positive action, it encourages us to achieve better things for our lives and it allows us to adopt new skills, building a personality more prone to cope with life's challenges effectively. Change is natural and if we drive it properly, we can reach the highground we could only dream of.
