When an interntional event is hosted in a country, it attracts tourists and foreign sponsors from various country in order to experience live sport and promote their brand, respectively. So, it is obvious that massive revenue could be generated by the people of that country including small vendors, as more number of people will be visiting. For example, When IPL(Indian Premeire League) had been played for four months in Dubai, it had doubled the profit of the shopkeepers situated near the stadium and also enticed tourists to visit that place. Moreover, fans who dreamed their whole life to watch their favorite athelete playing live get chance to fulfill their dreams. Thus, it is pleasant to host an international events in a country.
However, others believe that it has negative effects on the country as it there are several tragedies happened in such events. In other words, players are renowed all over the world and therefore, some people like terrorists tend to harm them or other people in such events to fulfill their purpose. For instance, before some years when Australian cricket team went to a country for an event, terrorists of that country deliberately started firing with weapons and killed several local people in order to spread fear. Hence, sometimes because of some detrimental people it is dangerous to organise such events.
In conclusion, hosting an international sports events is good oppurtunity for the country and it's people to earn more income; however, safety of the people should not be sacrificed. So, government of the country should be well prepared for seldom attacks that occurs in such events.
