The diagram gives information about the process of making carbonated drinks.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

You should write at least 150 words.

Writing task 1

The diagram illustrates the four core stages for producing soft drinks before becoming ready products for sending out the market.

The first stage is to prepare clean water for the manufacturing. In this step, the original water source will go through the softening and chemicals removal process after being filtered. After that, the clean liquids will then be pumped into electric boilers, then the heating evaporation and carbonation procedures will commence as the second step. In here, carbon dioxide will be added into the ready source after cooling down from a boiling temperature.

Following the step 2, step 3 is mixing in artificial elements. The mixing will be done in a large tank, where the liquid outputs will be added with colouring, syrup and flavour. Subsequently, filtered products will be filled into either bottles or cans. Finally, the soft drinks will be packed into boxes and distributed to supermarkets for selling.

Writing task 2

Nowadays, computers are widely applied as a teaching tool among educators. It has been controversial that it could be risky for learners to rely on computers in their learnings. Indeed, although there are pros and cons in such matter, I trust that the upside outweighs the downside.

To begin with, the popularity of adopting computers in classes is mainly because of the convenience for both teachers and learners. From the perspective of educators, teaching with using some software like PowerPoint is definitely far more effective and efficient than writing everything on a blackboard manually. Besides, it is also very convenient to exchange useful course materials instantly between both parties in classes through computers. From the angle of educatees, they can enjoy benefits in accessing an infinity of online resources through computers, that enables them to carry out a more comprehensive learning. Moreover, while face-to face classes were being suspended in unexpected circumstances like the COVID-19 pandemic, online classes became the mainstream in receiving continuous education. Hence, it is believed that computers serve a vital role in contemporary school study.

On the other hand, people discover some disadvantages in relying on computers in classrooms. The first risk is that students would easily overspend their time on computers in doing non-academic stuff, especially when their parents are lenient and permissive regarding home disciplines. Secondly, young computer users may not be mature enough to be aware of the potential risk in privacy leakage via internet, that might cause serve consequences, for instance, worst cases like being blackmailed.

In conclusion, even though there are hidden harms from such a smart teaching, I still stand for applying this technology in school educations, as there are uncountable benefits for both teachers and students.
