Writing task 2

Water pollution is one of the most important environmental problems nowadays, due to the implementation of activities which can reduce the impact on our rivers, lakes and seas is priority to avoid future water shortages. But, Why are our water bodies so contaminated? The awake humans' behaviors and the unmeasured usage of water on industrial activities are some of the causes of the water pollution.

The awake humans' behaviors are affecting the quality in our water bodies. Firstly, some researches have shown that people use more water than they already need, because they think unconsciously that the water is unlimited recourse due to people believe that the rainy season makes the rivers, lakes and seas get back to normal measures. In addition, they are not awaked that only 2% of the water in the world can drink, so they consider that if they leave faucets open while they brush teens or use the soups, their actions won't affect much. Finally, they believe that garbage which they usually forget on the beach or forest when they go camping do not rely on water pollution, and that is completely wrong because all the garbage in the world ends up in water bodies. Result of this, there are less water potable than 10 years ago and more animals with plastic waste in their systems.

The industrial sector is not helping to drop the water pollution at all. While 98% of the industrial processes use water in any stages of transformation products, only 45% of the industries have an environment management system which promotes the use of water responsibility. Therefore, 60% of the companies which use water in their process throw waste water in our lakes and rivers without water treatment. As a consequence of those, our animals are developing new viruses and bacteria that attack our human system when we eat wild animals.

In conclusion, people and the industrial sector need to be wiser that their activities are impacting immediately on our water resources, which are not unlimited, and they just represented 2% of the water world because the high costs of drinking water from seas make it difficult to avoid a water shortage soon.
