People nowadays recognized computers as part of technological advancement and a basis of modern era. That is why many believe that students should know how to use it and teachers should utilized it's different functions in teaching their students. On the other hand, too much dependency on computers might lead to a certain degree of risk to students. In my opinion, there are pros and cons of using computer which will be discussed in this essay.
As we all know, almost every single person living in this modern world uses various kinds of computers to help them with their everyday life. For instance, in classroom setting, teachers started to let their students use ipad or laptop when attending classes in order to make the lecture easier as compared to the previous years where they used to teach using chalks and blackboards. Also, instead of writing all the lectures and printing documents necessary for their studies, computers let student save time by saving it to their gadgets with the use of hadr drive or usb. As a result, students will not be burdened in carrying large books and notebooks when coming to school. In addition, computers like ipads and laptops are handy thus, students can easily carry it around.
However, there are still some disadvantages of using computers. For instance, too much reliance on it will lead to dependency and laziness. In view of this, students will not learn how to study and manage their life without having computers around them. Another example is that, too much exposure in front of computers damages students eyes that is why we can see that children at an early age were already using thick eye glasses in order for them to see. Another downside of using computers is the exposure to radiation which can harm students health and other individual who frequently exposed to it.
In conclusion, computers are there to make our life easier but we need to utilize it in a manner which will not compromise our health. Everybody should be aware of the benefits and risks that it entails so that no one will abuse it's function and purpose in our life.
