The line graph illustrates a city's Tourist Information Office's enquiry figures for the year 2011, from January to June.
Overall, the number of enquiries made physically or via a phone increased gradually over the period of six months while requests sent in through email or letter decresed as the months went by.
As at January, Tourists mostly called in to ask questions about the city, as about 900 phone calls were received as opposed close to 800 emails and around 400 physical contacts that were recorded in that same period of time. The figures for telephone and face to face requests kept on rising steadily for the next five months and eventually hitting high points of about 1600 and 1900 respectively.
During that same timeframe, the rate at which letters and emails were being sent in took a downward trend and eventually hitting a low point of around 400 by June.

The argument on whether or not the power to make vital changes to the society rests only on the shoulders of the government and big companies, is one that has generated spirited debates in recent years. While there are different opinions vis-a-vis ways the citizens can go about to spark the necessary changes they desire, i believe without the intervention of top organizations and the governments, all individual efforts end up being futile.
The government of a country hold the ultimate power to enforce laws, rules and regulations and passing of bills, while the best the people of the country can do is to voice their opinions by either television and radio interviews or through a well organized peaceful protest. Even with that, its still up to the Government to either act on or ignore those opinions.
Whenever a governmental decision has being enforced on an issue, it is mostly irreversible by the public unless they are able to get the backing of major organizations that contributes hugely to the economy of the country. Take for example, the recent hike in taxes by the Customs on imported goods at seaports which affected several entrepreneur's businesses across the countries. These sets of individuals had complained about these inflated prices for almost four weeks running to no avail. It took for an organization like Dangote, which engaged in the importing of raw materials to voice out its concerns on the issue and how it had slowed down the rate of its business, before the government finally made a compromise, rectifying the problem.
In conclusion, I believe the parts citizens have to play in terms of bringing a societal change is small as compared the government's and successful organizations'.
