Writing Task 1

The previous diagram is about the process of making carbonated drinks. The process requires five stages, starting from raw water until the water is bottled and shipped to supermarkets.

First, the water cleaning phase where the water goes through a filter, and then a water softener and some chemicals then it goes through a pump. The pump takes the water into the second stage which is heating evaporation and carbonation. The first step in the second stage is the electric heaters, then the water proceeds to go into a cooling pipe. Lastly, water goes into a tank filled with carbon dioxide. Stage 3 now comes in which is the last stage in producing the water. Stage 3 consists of a mixing tank that has three different components. Colouring, syrup, and flavor get mixed with the carbonated water that went down the pipe. Finally, in stage 4 the drink goes through a filter, and then it is considered ready for filling and later shipment. The drink that was previously filtered gets filled in bottles. Stage 5 is the packaging. The bottled carbonated drink gets packaged and later gets shipped.

Task 2

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Some people think that outdoor activities are more beneficial for children’s development than playing computer games. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

You should write at least 250 words.

I disagree with the given statement that outdoor activities are more benificial to the children's development than playing computer games if we consider it mentally. Yet, i agree with the point made if the development was physical. Children's development is not only limited to outdoor activities. Alot of activities done anywhere can develop a child.

Thinking is the best way to develop a mind. Computer games require alot of thinking. Most computer games require strategic planning , thinking of all outcomes there are to a game. Even if the children are not moving all day, their minds are still excercising. For example in Fifa ,which is a soccer game, you have to create tactics and beat your opponent. You can not beat your opponent while only playing without thinking. Alot of interactive story games give you a choice to make but, this choice could effect your game's outcome later on. Every choice you make leads to a diffrent ending.

Outdoor activities are considered better for the physique. Outoodoor activities like playing soccer, basketball, or maybe even running. They all require some form of physical activity which can not be attained from computer games. These games could be played with children's parents or even friends. It pushes children to socialize or spend quality tme with their parents. Spending time with their parents is for the sake of better relationship onwards.

I think both options are important for a child. The parent's role is to find the balance between outdoor activities and computer games. A parent should give importance to their child's development. I disagree yet i agree with both statments.
