Many people no longer read newspapers or watch TV news programmes. Instead they get news about the world from the Internet. Is this a positive or negative development?
You should write at least 250 words.
It is common admitted that nowadays the majority of people worldwide are informed about the world news from Internet and no longer read newspapers or watch TV programmes for this purpose. Notably, this is another one field that is covered by the Internet, which take the place of the traditional ways of information.
If we want to investigate the reasons why happening this, we will come across with many them. First of all, Internet has been the fastest and easiest manner as most people use cellphones and especially smartphones and that way they can find infomartion and news just at their fingers, by only typing about the specific subject they are looking for or by visiting the websites of their personal preference. In addition to that and in contrast with the old fashioned ways of information, Internet provides an enormous number of sources, which people can visit with just a click and select the desirable and the most appropriate fot their needs. Particularly, the past years, in order people to be informed from newspapers or TV news programmes, they had restricted oprions, which may not satisfy their tastings or even they may be directed by authorities, politicians and governments and as a result they do not inspire trust.
On the other hand, it has been claimed that leaving behind the newspapers and TV news programmes has negative impacts. Τhese impacts may be reffered to the relevant working positions that tend to extinction or may be the general difficulties that older people face with Internet using. However, because of the expansion of the Internet on the news-field arise new jobs, branches and disciplines and also older people are getting more and more used to new technologies.
In conclusion, Internet is an ever expanding means of information and that comes with an easy, comfortable and efficient way of getting the news. Furthermore, in my opinion the negative side of this, is overcome by the uncountable advantages of this development.
