The diagram shows the procedure for university entry for high school graduates.

Write a report for a university or college lecturer describing the information.

You should write at least 150 words.

Writing Task 1

Every student who enters the university goes through an exhaustive procedure before the final admission. When the student completes his/her high school degree, he/she is eligible to apply to the university via the online application form with all the documents compiled and attached. An interesting phase starts when the admin starts going through each application and decide the further course of every student's life. Within two weeks, either admin can send a provisional acceptance with a condition of additional documents required which goes on in a loop until all the documents requirements are met or a complete acceptance is sent to the student. When the latter happens, student can move ahead to select his/her choice of subjects, register with the Dean and enter the university. A complete opposite case can occur too when the Admin sends the application for rejection. The rejected application can either be suggested for an alternate course and accepted until approved by the Admin or complete cancellation of the application.

Task 2

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Some people say that the experiences a child has before starting school have the most influence on their future life. Others say that experiences as a teenager, especially at school, are more influential. Discuss both views and give your own opinion?

You should write at least 250 words.

It is a common statement to hear, 'A child is born like a blank paper. His parents and experiences make his personality.' When a child comes in the world, he comes with empty mind, heart, and soul. He reaps what his eyes fall on, he learns what he listens, and he appreciates what the people around him do. In the initial days, when the child is all the time with his parents and family, during the natural process, he picks up on their things and habits. As a child, no one has the understanding of good and bad or right and wrong. And when the child establishes these life experiences and personality at such a early stage of life, it is difficult to shatter them, and hence they influence his future life. Since there tare two sides to a coin, there is a good counter to the discussion. A child who is merely four or five years old before starting the school, he has a fragile memory and a unclear understanding how to register things in his brain. When he moves further in life to school, and experience diverse relationships and incidents, his being is influenced. He looks at things through a clear prism and have his own point of views. I believe in the latter side of the discussion. A child in school may not be aware about most of the things, but he is at a stage in school and life, where very different kind of incidents happen with him on daily basis. Since these experiences come with an action and reaction cause, the child registers them very well in mind which becomes a part of his personality and hence reflects in his future life.
