Writing Task 1

Starting from 1995's chart we can notice that most of the people born in Australia lived in cities and, comparing it with the chart on the right, in 15 years nothing has changed. Moreover, both charts show that even the amount of people born outside Australia living in cities remained unchanged.

In 1995 the number of people born in Australia living in towns is less then half of those living in cities. This number has almost halved in 2010 and it corrisponds exactly to the amount of people that lived in towns but that were born outside Australia in 1995.

Furthermore, in 1995 people living in rural areas and born in Australia are one third more of those living in towns. However, after 15 years the number of people has decreased significantly. Moreover, the amount of people born outside Australia living in rural areas in 2010 is not even

Rich countries often give money to poorer countries, but it does not solve poverty. Therefore, developed countries should give other types of help to the poor countries rather than financial aid. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

You should write at least 250 words.

Over the years poorer countries have always been helped by rich countries by receiving economics and financial aids. However, it was not enough to make these countries able to grow by themselves. The lack of a real interest in understanding what truly misses in poorer countries is at the center of the discussion.

First of all, the political sytems of rich countires should try to catch better what are the fundamental needs of a poor country. However, before helping the poorer countries with financial aids rich countries must first provide them of a group of experts that knows how to manage moneys and above all knows in which sector is necessary to invest them. In my opinion, this is a really important step to support those kind of countries since the lack of money is not always the reason why a country is not developing. Of course, the group of experts should be formed by volountary people willing to help less fortunate people.

Moreover, from my perspective there also other several types of help that rich countries' government can supply to the poorer ones, besided financial aids. One of these is to promote tourism in poor countries, for istance by lowering the price of flights through an agreement with flights companies. In addition, poor countries should contribute to all of this by committing themself in promoting what that country has to offer and what could be an attraction of people of all over the world. By following this road lots of money can be generated.
