Overall, the number of people who want to eat insects outweighs the number of them who do not. Surprisingly, the prices of such dishes are higher in comparison with typical meat.

The highest number of global willingness is observed in South and North America, in countries such as Mexico and Peru, the percentage of people wanting to eat bugs is above 50. In Asian countries the rates are also high, however, people in Japan with the lowest percentage of 21%. do not want to change their eating habits. The prices of this delicacy are much higher than the prices of pork or chicken for example. The most expensive insect is the weaver ant, which costs 10,65 USD/kg. Rice for instance costs only 0,78 USD/kg. But, the prices of House cricket and Giant water bug are the same as the price of Beef. Their current price is approximately 3 USD/kg. You should write at least 250 words.

The population is growing rapidly, which means that the need for food rises too. The main sources of food are domestic mammals, birds, and plants, however, in some countries, insects are extremely popular too. This essay will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of eating insects.

Such small animals as insects are everywhere. Their number is much more bigger than the number of people living on the Earth. Nevertheless, the use of these animals has not developed yet. In many countries, more and more bugs appear in markets, indeed the prices on them are very affordable. Some sources on our planet are endable, which means that in a couple of years, typical food can halt existing. Costs on insects are low and due to some surveys, using them as food is not harmful to health, which makes them an ideal variant. Moreover, there are a lot of bug particles in our everyday products, but people just do not check what they eat.

Another point of view is that consuming insects can damage our bodies and also have a negative impact on our nature. As a medical student, I used to learn biology, so my opinion is relevant. In fact, insects really take part in the ecological circle, which means that we are not alone to consume them. A lot of birds, snakes, and spiders can not live without insects as a food resource. Consequently, if people start harvesting them, other animals will be affected.

Summing up, swapping our habits in eating possibly could have some unwantable impacts on the environment. However, many countries are practicing such an approach in food resources, and people who try it, remain healthy and full.
