While most individuals go to university for academic study, more people should be motivated to do vocational training because there is a shortage of professional workers like electricians and plumbers. Nowadays, people seeks for high paying jobs which is mostly academical. As a consequence, work force for works vitally necessary for society like electricians and plumbers are needed.
Academic jobs that require intelligence and constant working are trending jobs these days. For instance, software engineer, lawyer, surgeon. However, as a result of high number of people going for these jobs, unemployed rate is getting higher. Because of the high wages, plenty of individuals are choosing majors that they do not like and interested in. This results, low quality work and unemployment.
I believe, there are people who are interested in jobs you can get trained in vocational training. People view this job only from one viewpoint and thinks it is only thing plumbers and electricians do. People should understand that there more aspects in this jobs. There are many ways to develop business on electrician and plumbing business. For instance, the business can work with construction companies on buildings. In my country, we lack professional electricians and plumbers. New company for these jobs could be profitable in this area. However, workforce is lacked.
To show citizens how these jobs have room for improvement, government should take action by giving more understanding. That way, unemployment rate will lower and lack of work force can be solved.
In conclusion, vocational training is essential for society. Individuals should choose to do what they like, but they are going for high paying jobs. It can be the cause of social problems like high employment rate. People have wrong understanding about these jobs that have many room for development. Furthermore, I agree with the statement given.
