Comments:
The issue of excessive packaging has gained significant attention in recent years. While some believe that the onus of reducing packaging lies with manufacturers and supermarkets, others argue that consumers should take responsibility by avoiding goods with excessive packaging. However, in order to effectively address this issue, it is crucial to recognize that both manufacturers and consumers share a collective responsibility for packaging reduction.
Manufacturers play a pivotal role in determining the packaging of goods. They have the capacity to employ sustainable practices and innovative packaging solutions. By investing in research and development, manufacturers can design packaging that is both functional and eco-friendly. By prioritizing recyclable and biodegradable materials, they can significantly reduce waste. Moreover, manufacturers should explore strategies like lightweighting, where they minimize the amount of packaging material used without compromising product safety.
Supermarkets act as intermediaries between manufacturers and consumers. They have the power to influence the choices of both parties. Supermarkets can collaborate with manufacturers to establish guidelines for sustainable packaging. By actively promoting products with minimal packaging, they can encourage manufacturers to adopt environmentally friendly practices. Moreover, supermarkets can offer incentives to manufacturers who implement packaging reduction strategies, thereby creating a market-driven approach to sustainability.
Consumers also play a crucial role in reducing packaging waste. By making informed choices, they can support sustainable packaging practices. Consumers should prioritize products that use minimal packaging or opt for packaging-free alternatives. By examining product labels and researching packaging policies, consumers can align their values with their purchasing decisions. Additionally, raising awareness through education campaigns can empower consumers to make environmentally responsible choices.
Addressing the issue of excessive packaging requires a collective effort. Collaboration between manufacturers, supermarkets, and consumers is key. Governments can introduce regulations and incentives to encourage sustainable packaging practices. Manufacturers and supermarkets can actively engage with consumers by providing clear information about packaging choices and the environmental impact of different options. Consumer feedback can drive the industry toward more sustainable practices.
The reduction of packaging waste is a shared responsibility that should be addressed by all stakeholders involved. Manufacturers and supermarkets have a responsibility to implement sustainable packaging practices, promoting eco-friendly alternatives and minimizing unnecessary packaging. Simultaneously, consumers should exercise their power as decision-makers, supporting products with minimal packaging and demanding transparency from manufacturers and supermarkets. Through collaboration and collective action, we can foster a culture of sustainable consumption, ultimately reducing the environmental impact of excessive packaging and preserving our planet for future generations.

The following line graph gives information about an approximation of visitors in two different stations of the same year, more specifically, summer and winter, in a museum in UK during 2003.
Overall, it is important to highlight two main characteristic of the graphic, the first one is the information studied, where exist two character, the number of visitors and the time of the visit, and the second one it is about the quantity of visitants during the two stations, can be observed that during all summer station, the average number of visitors are fundamentally higher than winter.
To begin to talk about summer, the visitors reach the top about the 1200 of the day, with almost 1400 persons, being eye-catching that during the morning, the entrance of people is only rising, and after the noon, the number have a constantly decline, with a drastic fall after 1600 hours of day.
on the other hand, during all winter, despite the visitors are remarkably lower than summer, the peak of the visitors is variable and do not have a regular increase, instead, have fluctuation during the morning until 1200 of the day, after that hour, the quantity of visitors just has a continuous dip until 1400, after that hour, the entry of new persons at the museum are null. It is remarkable that the higher amount reach by the museum in this station are 600 persons in two different hours of the day, at 1100 and 1200.
To conclude with the report, it is necessary remark that the graphic does not show any similar amount in both station, it means, the two station had always a different amount of visitors.
To start with my essay, it is important understand first the kind of product that we need and what conditions of package it is necessary to have a proper conservation of that goods. I will explain my view about the topic in the following essay.
Firstly, it is necessary to know the condition of conservation that the product need to have a proper condition at the moment of buy it. It is well knowing that some product, as natural beverages, needs a special material and space to have a correct conservation, or some foodstuff or electronic device, like eggs or a television, require a special package to avoid a crash or some damage during the transportation and maintenance. I remember a specific situation to illustrate this statement. I have a virtual shop of electronic devices, I tried to use less amount of package to decrease costs, but at moment of delivering, many equipment resulted broken as result of small protection of the wrapping I used. After many similar situation, I decided to use more packaging to protect my devices.
On the other hand, when some customers decide to buy items, it is buying the way of packaging this product have, I mean, you can find the same type of thing in many different presentation, some of that with an excessive form of wrapping. In this case is necessary teach the client to select the product with less quantity of waste material have, and this way, increase the sale of a more ecologic form of packaging, when the kind of product allow it. For instance, you can select the eggs with a simpler packaging instead the presentation of double amount of material with the same result of protection. It is a question of perspective and guidance.
In my opinion, is necessary understand that some products need a higher amount of inputs to a correct conservation and do not have nothing to do with customers, manufacturers or supermarkets, and finally, in some cases, the customers need to be briefed about the correct way of select the product with less material of wrapping when the item allows this types of conservation. In conclusion, is questions of teaching and understanding of the situation.
