The line charts illustrate the growth of energy production and consumption in the United States over five decades and the projections for 2025. Overall, it is abundantly clear both figured parameters have almost the same shapes during the time. In addition, the US energy consumption is bigger than the national production.
Taking a closer look at the graphs, in 1950, the US energy production was 25 quadrillion of British thermal Units (BUT's), or 10 quadrillion BUT's lower than the US consumption. 25 years later, both parameters increased significantly to above 50 quadrillion BUT's. Even though energy production and uses in the US fluctuated in the middle of time, in 2002 the US energy production rose slightly to around 60 quadrillions of BUT's, while the US energy consumption grew sharply to nearly 100 quadrillions of BUT's.
in 2025, both parameters figured are predicted to increase significantly with 125 quadrillion of BUT's consumption and 80 quadrillion of BUT's production. During this measurement, the gap between the US consumption and production energy is supplied by importing energy and the proportion is growing time by time
Nowadays, many big cities across countries are facing problems regarding long traffic. Some people argue reducing people's activities to travel, such as work, education, or shopping, is the only method to reduce the amount of traffic in cities. In this case, I personally disagree with the statement and through this essay, the reason for my extent will be explained.
First of all, long traffic only happens at specific times like in the morning or late afternoon when people start and end their business. This contributes to the high intention of people using the road at that time and after the entrance time, the road flow is getting normal again. In this issue, making policy about the regulation of using private transportation at specific times can help the government to reduce the amount of traffic in the city. For example, in Jakarta, the government regulates car owners to not use their private transportation every day by creating a law about single double series based on car numbers. The implementation of this rule is quite effective as some main roads are not getting delayed in the morning and afternoon late, according to the Jakarta transport alliance.
Moreover, adding the capacity of public transport at the rush-hour time is another good thing to reduce the amount of traffic in order to increase the number of transportation users. In the Journal of Urbans report, adding up the number of public transport units at busy times can break 35% of traffic in the city. This makes the road in some big cities like Los Angels, London, and Beijing which was observed in that journal, more spaces at entrance time of work and school. As a result, the city's condition is quieter at that time.
In conclusion, reducing the amount of traffic in cities can be done by creating a good law or maintaining public transport in the cities. This will help the road users be more comfortable when driving.

The amount of traffic in cities at present is at an increasing trend. This leads congested roads giving rise to air pollution. The only effective way to reduce the amount of traffic on roads is by optimal elimination of the need to travel for daily work and shopping.
One of the major reasons for people to travel in cities is for work or education. If the option of connecting from home is available, then there would be no need for this added effort of travelling to site. This would be beneficial as the time engaged in active work or learning would not be effected by factors like traffic delays or atmospheric conditions. The other reasons people travel is for getting their groceries and shopping. This need could also be reduced by an network of home delivery services. People could just connect over the internet or phone to order what they need and the delivery service personnel would bring it directly to the customers home.
The above mentioned options would not only reduce the need for people to travel from home but also generate an additional avenue of employment. The availability of these alternatives would reduce the total number of cars on the street leading to uncongested roads and positive impacts on the emvironment. We have observed an example of this when the corona virus pandemic hit the world in 2020. As people were asked to isolate in there homes to curb the spread of the virus, the option to travel for work, education or shopping no longer existed. This led to switching to a different mode of daily operations. The concept of remote work came into play, all commercial operations were shifted online and delivery services helped people with there requirement of groceries and shopping. This resulted in empty streets and had a very positive impact on the environment.
Hence the example of the pandemic proves that by having an alternate option of working, learning or shopping for home can drastically reduce the amount of traffic on the roads in cities today.
The graph shows the the energy units produced and consumed in U.S. over a period of time from 1950 to 2000.
We notice that the slope of the energy consumption line is steepter than the slope of the energy production one, meaning energy is being consumed at a much higher rate than it is being produced in the U.S.
From the year 1950 to the year 1975, we observe a parallel rate of enegy consumption to production. Eventhough the consumption is increasing the production is also simultaneously increasing to meet the demands. However the trend changes post 1975, when the U.S. energy consumption rates reach close to 90 units whereas the production rates are below 75 units. This leads to an increasing need for importing energy units to meet the growing consumption rates over the years.
Based on the trends of 1950 to 2000, the graph also shows approximate projections for the future. In the year 2025, we can see the rising trends of both energy consumption and production is continued. However, the energy consumption in U.S. highly surpasses the energy production which leads to increased energy imports from other countries.

The line graph provides information about the comparison of the United State energy production and consumption from the year 1950 to 2000. As well as the prediction for 2025.
Overall, the consumption and production of the United state energy was increasing from 1950 until 2000 and it continues its progress in the future year 2025 with an estimated projection of energy units of 65 projection between production and consumption. Besides consumption was outnumber the production energy of the US
The line graph illustrates the energy produced and consumed in America over a 50-year period from 1950 to 2000, as well as a prediction for 2025.
Overall, it is clear that there was a gradual upward trend in both the production and consumption of energy in the US over the period and figures are projected to climb in the future. The imports of energy also witnessed a growth during the period.
The gap between the consumption and production of energy was getting larger. Consequently, the imports of energy rose during the period. Standing at 25 units in 1950, the energy manufactured in the US then increased rapidly to about 53 units in 1975. Afterwards, the figure rose with a small fluctuation, to 60 units in 2000 and is predicted to reach a peak of 75 units by 2025.
In terms of the consumption of energy, the figure rose quickly from approximately 23 units in 1950 to about 80 units in 2000, with a fluctuation between 1980 and 1983. The energy consumed in America is estimated to grow quickly to over 125 units by 2025.

The best method to lessen the total traffic in cities at present is by cutting down the need for travellers to proceed from home for purposes such as work, education or shopping. In my opinion, I believe that it is possible that traffic can be minimised by various means in order to curb the rising traffic.
Traffic today can be minimised if every individual takes into account that there are other means of getting the job done without going in person into work, school or shopping. In this day and age, the internet has made it feasible for people from all walks of life and various age groups to sit behind a computer and get the task completed. For instance, during the recent pandemic, most people had to work from home and order groceries from online stores to reduce the spread of the disease. Children were home-schooled. There were hardly any cars on the road and the traffic was almost nil. Only essential workers had to travel to work. Even after the pandemic, some people still continue to work from home or shop online since it is more convenient.
In addition to that, for those individuals who find it necessary to go into work or shop in person, there is the option of carpooling or even taking the bus. This will consequently reduce traffic as many people opt to avoid driving their own vehicle, which in turn will curb the rise of air pollution and subsequently, the rise of global warming.
In conclusion, I do believe that the best way to lessen traffic on the road is by figuring out if one does really need to travel to get the task done, because evidently, it seems we do not have to.
