8.5 in the first one, 5.5 in the second one. How the hell are we supposed to go from questions 1 to 10 in 30 seconds where those questions are almost 2 pages long. And how the hell can I keep track with answering, while the speaker is speaking the next answer when I haven't finished writing the previous one?

Task 2

Kindly evaluate  my essay.

Thanks in advance.

Some feel that learning English language in a developed country is the best way to survive. I am in complete agreement with this sentiment as this would have a significant impact on job opportunities.

To commence with, in most developed countries English plays an important role in communication. For example, in America and UK the job openings mainly depends on the way people communicate with each other. Every individual must learn how to speak in English as this will improve their confidence to face problems that come along. Another reason for people to study this language is its wide usage in the country. Many universities, colleges train the students in English medium and almost all the competitive exams are in written in English.

There are many methods to learn English. It can be learnt from the surroundings we belong to. For instance, interacting with each other develops the English speaking skill and also one can correct his or her mistakes. Many people in the world will feel inferior if the other person corrects their linguistic but, this has a positive impact on the language. It is always said, Mistakes makes a man perfect. Similarly, learning to rectify your errors on your own or from others would be helpful in the future. People can study English through Online videos and are accessible by all the members. For individuals who wants to save the money and travelling time , these options will be beneficial.

In conclusion it can be seen that, studying English provides people with more benefits and also there are numerous ways to learn this. Therefore, people must learn English for their well being.

Hey what’s up! I’ve downloaded  practice test 2 for 2 weeks and the Reading passage 1 is Prehistoric Cave paintings took up 20,000 years to complete but now it’s The origin of writing 😧

Nigam Wadhwa

It will be really helpful if someone can evaluate this. Thanks in advance :)

Part 1

The bar chart given is a pictorial representation of British Emigration to various parts of the globe for the year 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.

It is clear from the graph that majority of the Emigrants decided to move to Australia followed closely by Spain. Number of people who moved to Australia was the highest in the year 2006 with the number remaining similar in other years. From the given data, we can assume that Spain and New Zealand have become less favourable destinations over the years, as the number of people moving to those countries has consistently decreased.

The number of emigrants going to the United States of America keeps fluctuating with even years having higher number of emigrants than their odd counterparts. France is the only country which shows a very haphazard trend over the years. Twenty-two thousand people migrated to the country in 2004. This number increased by a whooping 45 percent to 32000 after which it dropped to 26000 and 18000 in the subsequent years.

Observing the overall trend across countries, it can be concluded that with the overall trend of Emigration has decreased the years. It can be assumed that British government is taking steps towards the betterment of the populace leading to the downfall in the number of people moving to other nations.

Part 2
English is one of the mostly widely spoken language across the world. Many countries in the world have accepted english as their official language and most work in these countries is conducted in the same language. I completely agree with the statement that studying the english language in an English-speaking country is the best but there are other ways in which one can learn the language.

Learning the English language in an English speaking country has its fair share of advantages. Firstly, the person is exposed to the language a lot more rather than just for a short period of time. While learning a language, the more exposure a person has, the better his command over the same. For instance, a person learning English in the United Kingdom will remain in touch with the language much more than a person who is learning the same language in a country like India. Thus, peer to peer learning will be significantly higher in the UK. Additionally, the availability of the teachers in an English speaking nation will be mammoth as compared to the availability of teachers in a non-English speaking territory. For example, number of professors of English in the French dominated reigon of Canada will be minor as compared to the number in the English speaking reigons of the country. Therefore, learning the English language in a reigon which has its primary mode of communication in the same language is the best method to learn it.

Although, it is best if one learns English in a reigon which communicates primarily in the same language, it is not the only way in which one can learn it. Take India for example, most of the official work is conducted in English despite the official language of the country being Hindi. Children in India are taught English along with their native languages from a very young age in schools. Most of the courses in India are taught in English and a large portion of the populace have a good control over the language. Therefore, it is evident from the above examples that one does not need to be present in an English speaking country just for the sake of learning the language.

In conclusion, although learning the English language in an English-speaking country is highly advantageous over other methods of learning the language, it is not the only way to learn the language. Learning a language is a process and it can be followed from anywhere in the world, not just from a reigon which has dominant users of the language.

The graph gives information on the destination of British Emigration between 2004 and 2007.

In Australia, the most destinations selected years was over 50 thousands in 2006 and the lowest was less 40 thousands in 2005. The difference between 2004 and 2007 are appromaxitely 2 thousand. Australia was the highest selected destination in the graph.

On the other hand, New Zealand, was the average selected in 4 years but the lowest in the graph, approximately 20 thousand.

Similarly, Spain is also average in all other and greater than New Zealand with 10 thousands.

As for the France, its highest was in 2005, over 30 thousand. Conversely, the lowest was in 2007, less 20 thousand.

Last but not least, the most unstable country was USA. it had about 25 thousand destination in 2004 and 2006. Remained two was also close to each other, around 20 thousand.

Studying language in their country is more effective but it's not the only way to learn language. Personally, i disagree with this statement. I feel this way for two reasons, which I will explain in this essay.

The first reason that the studying the English language in an English-speaking country is because it has many benefits. When learning language in ther country, progress would show quickly because the language is used everywhere go and triggers the desite to learn language. In Addition, another benefit of learn language in their country is accent, listening everyday the aboriginals accent would help to improve the accent.

On my experience, for example, i have been studying English language for 4 years on and off and in the last year i practiced everyday and it improved great. But i only learned grammar English and my speaking English didn't improved bit. Thus, i worked on this aspect by speaking everyday, keeping speaking diary. Finally, i though i learned English great but after all i comprehended that i can't learn language without living their country because i can't master original accent of their language.

Overall, studying language in their country is the best way to learn because you could practice everyday and master the original accent of words.

Hi
I did the exam last week. Real IELTS exam was very much similar to the tests (listening & reading) which are in this website and I got similar scores for listening and reading which I got when I was doing practice tests through this website

Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone! I took the real test last week and I got these scores: L6.5, R7.5, W6, S7. Overall 7. I prepared only by using this website and watching YouTube videos. And I think for someone who is taking the test for the first time, it is an okay score. Real Reading test was not as hard as the ones that presented on this website. But my first passage was tough, other two easy. I think there is no more policy that passages get harder gradually each section. So don't be scared if your first passage is unreadable lol. Listening was okay. I thought I did well and was hoping for 7/7.5. I think I fucked up maps part, so it affected the score. Writing was crazy, my grammar is so bad. I'm the person who puts articles if I feel like that word needs it :D So it's a reasonable score. And my Speaking is good, because I lived in the US for 2 years. Good luck everyone. It is doable to prepare and pass using this website!

Hello! I was hoping if someone could evaluate my practice writing test :> I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

TASK 1:
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. The chart shows British Emigration to selected destinations between 2004 and 2007. Write a report for a university, lecturer describing the information shown below. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. You should write at least 150 words.

Answer
The information seen on the chart presents the emigration rate of the British people between the years 2004 and 2007. The countries that were noted include: Australia, Spain, New Zealand, USA, and France.

One notable feature on the chart is the high rate of emigration to Australia. It is evident that throughout the four years, Australia had the highest number. In addition, there was a drastic increase of emigration on the year 2006. Another thing is that people who chose to emigrate to Spain came in second on the charts. It is also shown that both USA and New Zealand had a low number of emigrants between the said years. Furthermore, upon looking at data on the country France, a radical change was seen in the numbers from the year 2004 and 2005. It is relevant to also include that there was a decrease in rate in all countires during the year 2007.

Overall, the chart implies the number of British emigration to these five countries which seem to be a trend that decreases over time.

TASK 2:
You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.Studying the English language in an English-speaking country is the best but not the only way to learn language. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? You should write at least 250 words.

Answer
Learning a new language can be very challenging for every person. It can be compared to living in a new country and starting a new chapter in one's life. Throughout the years, English has been used by majority of the countries as a way to communicate with one another. It then became one of the most common endeavors of people nowadays. Since english is know to be the universal language, it was taught in schools in such an early age from my own experience.

Personally, I think that it is best to study in an English-speaking country. One of the main reasons for this is to fully engage in speaking, reading, and communicating with others in English. It can provide a way for a person to learn more from the interaction of people. It can boost confidence when it comes to speaking and can enhance the pronunciation of certain words.

Although it may seem to be the optimal method, not everyone can immediately emigrate in an English-speaking country. There are various factors to be considered before actually moving in another place. Hence, one way to learn is to enroll in an english language school. Since it is universal accepted to have a knowledge on English, a lot of lessons are being offered by learning institutions. Another way to learn is through self-study. Online resources can be easily accessible to anyone from the internet. This can provide a more personalized manner of acquiring knowledge. Furthermore, reading books is proven to widen one's vocabulary, and is vital to anyone learning English. Reading has a lot of good outcomes in terms of memory, comprehension and other important skills as a student.

As a final point, learning a new language can be done in various ways. Moving to an English-speaking country may be best, yet some may not have the chance to do so. Therefore, it is important to have the discipline and patience since most of the time, it can be difficult to learn something new. There are a lot of options provided and it is up to us to utilize these effectively.

I don't understand why all the reading mock tests have a single long reading in each section. It should come as section #1: 2 - 3 short texts, section #2: 2 short texts and section #3: 1 long text.

At least that's the format presented by Cambridge website on IELTS.

The actual test would be easy if u perform decently(6.5 to 7) here. coming to difficulty level it is less than the current test.

So does that mean actual test academic reading and listening are a bit easier than the mock tests in this website?

I'm a beginner who wants to learn how to use this web page to learn

min

the first reading test is quite difficult for me, I got only 22:(((
anybody helps me improve my reading skills.

1.Firstly,You can try to identify the type of questions that you get wrong the most and master the strategies for the particular type of questions and re-attempt, see if you are progressing, If so do this for other question types as well. I am sure you will slowly improve by this.
2. Next, If you face time problem, I suggest you to save enough time >= 30 min for last section as it is difficult relatively. Do all the easy questions first. If a question is taking more time, leave it(or guess) and move on as you can always come back later to the difficult questions

Your tips are very helpful to me. Thanks a lot!

the second listening test is hard :) they didn't put a space between every 6 questions at least

Exactly. For the first part, I scored 8.0, then 5.0 on the second one. I haven’t got to read the questions properly. Also, the flow of conversation seems to be non-stop. Is it also happening in the real IELTS exam? I mean, if you’ll be the unlucky one, you’ll get the non-stop conversation part? 🤣 Most probably, I’ll score low with that.

omg me too i got the 5.0 for the second test  😂

Oh my goodness, the same with me.

My Ielts listening oart was exactly like that. Didn't have the time to read the questions, too many choices to choose from. Practise listening and reading at the same time, in case you are as unlucky as I am....

Anonymous In reply to LILY

look u r same unlucky as me

Yes. This will happen even in Real IELTS exam if you are unlucky enough

no there's no way you come across gap filling with 3 words all the time

8.5 and 6.5😁
do they also provide recordings like that in the real test With no enough pause?
Can't be right?!

No, it isn't, they usually divide each part into 5-questions that will be asked at a pace enough for you to get your head around it. So, the real one is easier. Here a 6, there is a 7.5
