Writing Task 2

In the modern society, people migrate to cities from countryside and this trend continues in many parts of the world resulting in various problems, especially in cities. This essay will provide a breif explanation of the causes of this movement and how it can be reversed.

There are various reasons for people to migrate to cities, better education, better hospital facility and many more. In the modern world people think moving to a city will help them increase the quality of life and provide better for their families. Some of them migrate to find suitable jobs which countryside do not provide. The daily wage a worker receives in a city is way higher than what is paid in these villages. For example- A student who has completed his education and holds engineering degree does not have the proper resources to get a job if he/she stays back in village, whereas cities provide vast job opportunities.

This situation can be reversed only if the government and the village authorities take proper steps to develop a countryside and provide appropriate oppportunities to young teenage graduates. Countryside does not have enough resources or infrastructure where people can work or earn enough for their ends meal. Another solution is to provide people with all the facilities that a city person enjoys, facilities like clean drinking water, electricity, hospitals, schools & colleges which will force the people to stay back in the countryside and take advantage of these benefits.

To conclude, cities are getting crowded as each day passes by and if the government does not induce relevant planning projects and spend enough money on the development of these village areas then more and more people would migrate to cities for better life and amenities.
