The line graph illustrates the average daily number of United Kingdom commuters travelling by three different kinds of transportation - car, bus, and train - over the 60-year period beginning from 1970. Overall, while the figures for car and train experienced upward trends, that of train saw the contrast pattern, gradually plummeted over the years. Notably, although the number of commuters travelling by car observed many fluctuations, its figure still remained consistently dominant over the timefrane.
In 1970, there were approximately 5 millions travelers who utilized cars. This number remained stable for the following 10 years before experiencing a surge to almost 7 millions by 2000. In 2010, the figure for car saw a increase to about 7.6 millions after stabilizing for a decade. It then significantly rose, reaching 9 millions at then end of the period, 2030.
There was a remarkable inverse relationship between the commuters who tranported by bus and by train. In 1970, the number of travelers who used bus was about 4 millions, far outperforming that of train with merely 2 millions. The figure for bus consistently decreased in the next 45 years, reaching about 3.5 millions by 2015. However, that of the train experienced a steady increase, eventually surpassing bus in 2015. For the remaining years of the period, the number of people who traveled by train kept rising, with 5 millions by 2030, while that of the bus saw a slight gradual decrease, dropping to 3 millions by 2030.

With the improvements in today's health care, the average expectancy has risen, creating the increase in numbers of elderly people to day. This problem has placed burden on the society for the responsibility to care for the elderly. This essay will explore the society's ability to cope with this issue before proposing some effective measures to mitigate the potential negative effects.
The increase in numbers of elderly today: the governments have committed to subsidy them => more people => more subsidy. Coverage of such expenditures can be problematic for some countries, particularly the developing ones, whose public funds are not flexible enough to meet such requirements. Furthermore, the young people are often tied with the responsibility to take care of their parents when they are old. For those people who cannot finish their own financial obligations, this could be unfair and make their lives hard.
To mitigate, the government shoud follow a need-based regulation to provide elderly people with financial aid. This means that elderly people who are still capable of take care for themselves should continue finish their financial obligations without receiving governmental support; others without means can be provided. Also, there should be strict regulations relating to children's responsibility of taking care for young people to ensure their quality of life.
